BMW 330i - C63 on order.
Question for techs: fitting alloy wheels and offsets.
I have ordered the 19" alloy wheel option for my UK spec car. They are 8.0Jx19, 235/35 and 9.0Jx19, 255/30 with offsets of ET45 and ET54 front and rear respectively (info. from the AMG website). I would like to fit different AMG alloys, an SL63 optional wheel set, code 793. Their sizes are 8.5Jx19, 255/35 and 9.5Jx19, 285/30 with offsets of ET30 front and ET31 rear.
I'm not a tech, so my question is can the SL63 wheels be made to fit a C63 given the different offsets? If so what are the implications for the cars handling and wear and tear on the suspension components. Lastly what is the maximum tyre size front and rear the C63 can accomodate?
My local dealer isn't interested in providing answers as they will not fit wheels not made specifically for the vehicle.
Thanks.
