Engine whine?
Anyone know what's the whine coming from. Reminds me of gear driven supercharger or gear drive cam shaft on the old big block engines.

The M156 engine (63) does have a chain. but the intake and exhaust are gear driven, by a idler gear driven by the chain. it is a very cool set up. one other thing the engine oil pump makes a whine noise to.

It's like the whine from your GF, in the end you know it's right

Seriously, I remember my ML55 AMG also whined. AMG engines tend to whine.

You getting your car from Mercedes of Baton Rouge? We were in BR on Monday looking for a Mini and stopped in at Mercedes to look at SL's. My wife ask if they had a C63 and they just unloaded it. We drove it home.
