True That.

Time to raise the limit on the Chevron card I guess.

Actually I think the tank is slightly larger than the outgoing C class. I think the old C was 16.4 or something like that. Still it could be a bit larger.

I have the answer. I'll just install a fuel cell (say 25 gal. or so) and all my problems will be solved.

The performance of the car will make you feel good about fuel stops.

I hear ya.

Install fuel cell, more fuel, lower CG, better handling, all good.

New England winters and frequent fill-ups don't mix!

Well something to think about I guess. Wishful thinking they would make the tank bigger for 09'

I wanted a performance sedan, just not one I needed to fuel up every 200 miles.

Ugh!! I love the car, but the thought of more frequent fill-up in freezing cold New England Winter's is a major negative!!

Can you explain what you mean by installing a fuel cell? Any information would be appreciated!

basically in simple terms, a race car (fuel cell) fuel tank. Your remove the stock tank, pumps and sending unit and re-install them in an after market fuel tank.

And how exactly does that make the car more fuel efficient? From my understanding race tanks are designed to be filled very often and they are smaller due to the weight factor.

You can get fuel cells in almost any size. I have seen them for 5gal. to over 50gal.

Anyway, just a joke. I am not cutting up a 70k car to install a fuel tank.

A race car fuel cell would sit in the trunk, as opposed to where it is located now.

How does that lower the C of G?

Whatever Mr. Wizard. The CG would change depending how deep the cell was mounted.

I have a great idea, drop the fuel cell thing. It will just start way to many questions than can be answered.

It's a race car fuel tank, it can be any size you want, it can be made any shape you want, you can mount it were you want, you can mount it how you want, no it is not road legal, no it is not practical, yes it is a lot of money.

Case closed.
