Crap.. I can't decide between Palladium Silver and Steel Grey

Well, I put in an order several wks ago for steel grey. Now I'm starting to waffle. I've been looking at pics of the palladium silver, which I saw and liked before, and now it's growing on me more. I obviously like steel grey a lot too. I can't decide! ! I've got a July 1 build date so I'm sure I can change what's on my build sheet.

Help!

I was torn between the 2 as well. So to solve the issue I had the dealer pull up one of each in C class trim and looked at them in the garage and outside in the sun light.... I chose Palladium for my Decade 2 June build MY09 C63!!

I did the same thing, but outside under different conditions, sunny and then overcast...yes I broke my dealers nuts with this dilemma, then I had to decide on the interior, another nutcracker of a decision, so I went with the Tenorite Grey(in canada as in the states it is steel grey) and the sahara beige/black interior, but you better hurry, as my build date is early to mid july and my dealer wanted to finalize the colors this week. Good luck as I dont think i had such a chore to decide on colors for a car. I had a much easier time naming my first born!!

I would recommend that you go and see the Palladium and Steel Grey in person. I thought the Palladium would look good based on the pictures I've seen on the internet but once I saw it in person, I didn't particularly like it that much anymore. The color was too light for me and just didn't seem good to me. Maybe others have a difference preference though.

Yah. I'm usually pretty decisive. Been to the dealer back lot thrice looking at colors. Am I really going down there again? Haha.

I was undecided between Steel Grey/Tenorite and Palladium, as well. Deciding factor for me, after seeing both live was the cleaning factor.
Palladium will be far easier to keep clean and thats what I ultimately ordered.

If you can't decide then change it all up and go for plain Black... Best looking!

I recommend everyone on this forum Not to rely on Colors you see online... They do Not show up as being true to life color description. Even if you see a color you like (live) on a different model car its tough. I'd say call/ search dealerships and see them live... I looked around and found a dealership which had a 2008 plain black sitting in the show room, I was sold. My order for a 2009 C63 will be black.

I would say go with the Steel Grey because during the day the color slightly changes which is nice and at night it give that dark effect aswell but more importantly it won't show the dirt or dust as much with the steel grey.

Its your choice in the end, go with what you really like the most. Good Luck!

Be aware that the the C in one colour i.e. steel grey looks different on the C63. I had a steel grey on order having seen the regular C in daylight but after seeing the 63 in steel grey in daylight a few times I swapped to capri blue. (NOTE: Colour is indeed a personal choice, good luck with it!)

I have a Palladium C63 and it is nice. When I picked up my car I saw a tenorite 63 there too, and I kinda wished I could have both!!!

I saw Steel gray and Black. Black is probably the best, but too difficult to keep clean. The one I saw was washed the day before, totally dirty with dust & pollen.

On that note, I ordered Palladium Silver. For me, it was between Palladium and White, both great colors, just felt vents would look better in Palladium.

Lastly, Mars Red is pretty hot, if you like red on sedans. Going through a divorce at the moment, so felt Palladium was more stealthy.

RE: Color

I was going to get either Pallidium Silver or Capri Blue until I looked at real cars with various colors at my dealer. I concluded that Black, Mars Red, White, and Iridium Silver look the best on this car.

After about an hour of debate, I ordered mine in Iridium Silver with Grey leather seats, classic Benz color combo, really shows the lines, and also easy to maintain.

Suggest that you look at some real C-Classes and then decide what works best for you.

I went to the dealer again today and looked at White, Steel Grey and Palladium Silver. I was dead set on White and now I want Steel Grey. My sales guy liked the Palladium Silver the best. Anyway, it is all personal preference. I am probably going with the Steel Grey. You definitely have to see these cars in person to make the right choice.

BTW... some people have said Black is the best color but its hard to keep clean, I dont know about you or the others but this is going to be my fun car which will always be spotless... In other cases, silver will hold up best if you dont like to clean your car much... just my 2 sense

I decided not to go back to the dealer to check out the two colors again; I'll just confuse myself. I just like both. I'm going with my 1st impression, steel grey...by a hair.

Yes, definitely regret it! But it was a choice between waiting for 4 more months or getting the car available now...

I really don't want to see another Palladium, but it is an awesome color.
