One question, when you say you have CL65 wheels do you mean CL55 wheels? The 65 carries 19s on the W215 and 20s on the W216.

I also think it would look good...but I guess some people get squirelly when performance mods are used just for aesthetic purposes.

X3 and 2012 C coming soon
It's for looks on a C63 just as would be on a C350. In this case hp doesn't matter. For example, a spoiler helps with downforce if you reach 150 mph in a car with 450 hp or 250 hp.

c63 diffuser
The rear "diffuser" is somewhat functional on the C63, but it is not constructed as one piece like a "real" one. The rear underbody is relatively flat and has grooves in it, presumably to channel air. However, the 3 fins as seen from the the back are just an extension of the bumper and are a separate piece. It does attach to the underbody, but there is a lip that hangs over, which probably causes turbulence and may trap air rather than channeling it out from under the car. This may be an easy fix, but I haven't taken delivery of my own C63 yet, so I can't tell. Here is a picture I took at a dealership last month:

I think his comment is that a diffuser is a aerodynamic modification that's only needed generally on high performance vehicles and is similar to putting a huge wing on a car that doesn't need any help with decreasing lift.

Couldn't have summed it up better!

I'm sure someone will post pics when they get the opportunity. To be honest, I think it will look good on your car. After all, I believe the diffuser on the C63 is just for show (it is on the SL63) in which case it belongs on your car as much as it does the AMG.
