What day did you run the car?
Looks like the E63's of NY and NJ have something to fear,

You guys need to handle this "C63 uprising" ,

I dunno if I have ever seen a 110 E63 east coast trap?

I suspect we could see an E63 Vs. C63 battle somewhere on that tiny Island, real soon ..

Chris did you get smoked by a C63 and fail to report ?

lets examine the 108 trap in the e six three

DA=2k car was brand new, and run with ESP on..lol doooh,

amazing people sold the E63 based on ONE RUN

many folks in that thread claimed th 63 would nver see 12.75 and predicted traps of max 111... lololololo9loolooo

Where are all these posters now that we have a SUB 12 second pass?

read this thread, shows things are not always as they appear

It seems like the driver let the engine bog off the line. I bet if they held the revs at 3000-4000rpm and then let off the brake, they would have cut .2-.3 seconds off that time. What do you think?

The tires would have went up in smoke&overpowered the brakes at that rpm.
Lack of torque limits the 60' times on the 63 models,it's extremely hatrd to get a 1.7x short time in these cars.Just ask Juicee63 who prolly has 1500 passes down the 1/4mi

OK. Sounds like you've done this a few times as well. Anyway, brake torquing at slightly more than idle should give at least some help off the line. As far as the tires going up in smoke, I guess 3-4k is too much. What would you suggest?

I run a totally stock setup including the OEM Conti SportContacts,so for me leaving at idle with no loading of the torque converter produced the best results for me&my car.Others launch with a lil bit of rpm against the converter(1500) and do pretty well too.

LET C32 2002
I realized one thing in dragging a car and the right conditions and very good driver equal low numbers. 12.8 is a very good time for just about any sedan! Its VERY hard to post good numbers on cars that powerful...I can see low 12s in time.

I agree.

Good post

The C63 will need a hard break in and a few k on the clock.

I think we will see 12.40's @114

If they can increase air flow and do an ECU tune

this C63 could hit 11s@119, this will be something that we look forward to seeing. Good luck squeezing out he 500hp.

hell yeah !!! I test drove one and it was like the commercial... sideways silly... smoke everywhere.... by far one of the coolest cars from MB... especially over the E... I'd taker it over the SL also... though i would scrape every emblem off the C63...

I also love the G55 though... so it will be a toss up... the G55 is fun because of all the little rice burners with the big ol fart can exhaust just get dominated by it... I think I was about to get smoked by a mitsu awd turbo when I just got in his lane...

If thats the case, Stage 1 c32s do NOT have to fear, particularly if the trap was 108???

1. Are there even that many E63's ON Staten Island?

2. I hear Rob (gixxer) cooks a mean crow, you hungry?

3. Are you aware that the numbers you've put down so far put you nowhere near beating an E63 on the street?

This is only the beginning for the C63 guys........

Once more people buy them and actually race them, we'll be seeing much better numbers, and I have a feeling it'll be very soon

In addition, most tuning companies offer a tune to bring the E63 hp levels up to 550 hp as well as C63, CLS63, S63, etc..... Once owners start racing 550+ hp C63, we'll see even stronger numbers.

Stay tuned, I believe the C63 should average low 12s and maybe high 11s in EXCELLENT conditions.
