I agree with you on the price point... best bang for your buck is a chipped 335i...

The c63 styling and engine are in another class, but as said, you are going to have to $$$ for it..

The lease payments are nearly double...

The 335 is a great car. You can pick one of them used with low mileage for as low as $27k. Warren has been running consistent 12.0 to 12.1 @ 115 to 117 with just ECU/Tires/Gas in his 335. Please check both Famoso Raceway threads in the E63 section. He just ran an 11.99 @ 117+ at Sacramento on December 13th in his 335 Sedan. That was his last day before the lease was up, then next morning he turned it in for a 2008 335 coupe and last week, he ran 12.0 @ 116 mph in the coupe. Again, this was just on ECU/Tires/Gas .

The 335 is definitely a fast and fun car, but overall, I would still pick the C63. An ECU tune on the C63 can net 100 hp easily and puts the car into the mid to high 11s with no problem.

Both are nice cars but you can't seriously compare a 335i to a C63, chipped/modded or not.
Well I can say I could use the $7k difference in msrp (between Lancer EVO vs 335i) in mods which will leave a stock 335i in the dust. How's that for bang for the buck. See what I am getting at.

C63>335i. Different car, different class.

no wait i got it

the only way the 335 would win is if a moded m5 or m6 is pushing it from behind.

I would take a big, deep, menacing sounding V8 over a chinzy sounding six banger any day of the week, turbos or no turbos, period. You cannot put a simple 3 series BMW in the league or class of an AMG, never. I dont care how much work you do to that motor, it will never have the authoritative sound of the 6.3 series cars, nor will it ever have the exclusivity of AMG, the 3 series coupes are seen as often as Honda Accord coupes, oh wait, I always seem to confuse the two by the rear end, the 3 series coupe looks like a Honda Accord Coupe....BORING.

So we can comparing other things beside performance? I didn't know that, here I thought we were just comparing performance number strictly? Of course I know the 335i is a better vehicle overall as compared to the EVO. I was just being a little sarcastic.

Don't get me wrong, I like BMW and the 335 but this 335vs C63 is so absurd.

Read it one more time.. The 335 is not in the same class as an C63.. BTW, you can make any POS goes fast with some $$.

Narrowminded, hardly, I do own a 5 series BMW that I bought for my wife, so I am not a Bimmer hater, very far from that, just annoyed by 3 series owners who think they're car is comparable to limited production AMG products, but I must say, your car is cute.

I would love to add a chipped 135i or 535xi to my garage, its a great i6 tt engine with lots of potentials and good gas mileage.

chipped 335 vs c63??!! WTF lol, they are in different leagues. It's fun to drive a car with tt, but its scary to drive my v8, 450/440 c63.

very nice tire choice, my g35 used to have those toyo t1r tires.

I like concave CSL style rims, they are the best looking stock rims imo.

Wow, you people and your c63's. The OP wanted a comparison on the performance of both cars. Turns out, a chipped 335 is going to hang with a stock C63. Can you guys handle that? I love how everyone on this childish C63 forum just bashes the 335 cause its not an M or a AMG, please ladies and gentleman, get over yourselves.

One of my favorites quotes,

"just annoyed by 3 series owners who think they're car is comparable to limited production AMG products, but I must say, your car is cute."

Your car is cute too man, and if its stock, you better watch out for the non limited production 335's that are going to give you a run. I love the c63, and the 335. Both are great cars, and contrary to what most believe here, They are very comparable in performance.

AMG C63
Man some people are sensitive. I have a 08 335i and my 09 AMG.
Both great cars. the 335i is my wifes. Its well.... Just not as sporty
as the AMG. Its doesnt feel like it belong on the track. Its a grand touring car. The AMG feels like its just a sprint from the track. Indeed I live just 40 miles from Willow Springs raceway, I am dying to get the AMG on the track. I just dont get that feeling from our 335i. No its not chipped.
It pulls well but it doesnt give you that Back to the Future acceleration
feeling like the AMG does.

You must be mistaking the comparison of C63 to a 335, what you probably meant was the comparison of your E63 to 335 in performance, now thats comparable. How do you like your SL55, thats a nice car.
