Victim of Fraud

Hi! I am new here. I have just purchased a 2005 MB E-class for my wife and our son from out of state in MA and when the car shows up there are many problems not disclose prior to purchase. The dealer has been giving me all the excuses to fix my car for the past 3 weeks and nothing has gotten fix yet. On top of that, they are withholding the title to the car for whatever excuses they are making up as well. Please help me! I am desperate in needing some advice. Thank you very much in advance.

Options 1-3, No. Option 4!

I've browsed the E55 scene for a while and it seem that everyone describes what they have as 'cherry'. It would take hell-of-a twist of my arm to buy one out of state sight unseen. I've gone out to some local dealers to look at their A+ 'cherry' rides just to walk away shaking my head. Good luck to you on it resolved..........

With the receipt I'd speak to the GM of the dealership or if that doesn't work, MBUSA. Also, if you used a credit card, I'd have them back the charge out.

No rooom for these sorts of games - In know it happens but always dissapoints.

There are consumer protection laws for this sort of thing. I'd definitely consult with a lawyer immediately and then hit then with the works. Non-disc,osed defects are bad enough, not releasing the title is fraudulent if they have accepted your funds. Did you get a bill of sale or other paperwork? Go get 'em. I understand why you bought out of state and the risks involved. Just sold my 550i to someone in TX who hadn't seen it - stories like this one make me feel good about how we managed the transaction, ensuring safety for both parties, and my disclosing even the smallest of scratches thathe might not even notice. Karma.

Did you use cash or credit card for the deposit? If it was a CC, then dispute the charge with your CC company. They will try to contact him and if he does not answer, then they will likely give you your money back.
