Without Limited Slip Question? - Launching from a Dig
If my car does not have Limited Slip which sends power to the wheel with more traction....
If I nail my car froma dead stop such as at the drag strip are you telling me that all 450hp only goes to the right rear tire?
I can't see that.
Does the regular differntial alternate from tire to tire or does it spin both equally?
That I can see.
What is the difference between limited slip and the regular differential when taking off from a dead stop.
Will the Limited slip have less wheelspin and be faster or is its main advantage mainly for racing around a road course.
Opinions are OK, but please state IMO if it is not 100% fact.

I thought if you did a burnout with the regular diff you get one black strip, but if you do a burnout with an LSD you get two black strips? True?

I;ve never laid down a strip in my car. Sad I know.
Plus, one of my Corvette drag racing buddies says there is no way it will only send power to one tire, maybe it will alternate from side to side or spin both equally, but it will not just only spin the right rear tire.
