Oh yeah have I got a screeching story. I was driving through the parking structure and the smooth concrete was a little wet. With almost 700 HP under the hood you could just imagine what I was thinking - wow that concrete is a little wet.....
So anyway as I went over the speedbump there was a spectator or two close by (the senior bus just arrived for the senior special at Dennys) and I thought to myself - wow the senior bus just arrived.....
You can't even imagine what happened next. As I went over the top of the speedbump and down the other side, yeah you guessed it, my frickin tires screeched!! It was unbelievable, almost orgasmic if it hadn't been so cosmic. All the seniors turned and you know that they thought I was the biggest stud with the most studliest of cars. And to think, I owe it all to that tire screech!!! I am, yes I'll admit it here in a public forum, a screecha frickinholic...

What works for me in my old-school C55 is to get a bottle of clorox and pour it on the rear tires and let it set for about 15 seconds.
Then I set them on fire with a lighter and power brake for about 45 seconds.
Afterwards, I am left with a set of rims on the road and a whole lot of smoke.

Sup all,
Tonight I went and tried to do some burnouts after having waited more than 1k miles to see what the C63 has in her. To my surpirse it would not burnout with the ESP Off as it did easily the first time I had tried it the day before. Now I do not know much about AMGs or racing in general but I checked everything, the tires, the road, and just looked like an idiot infront of all these ppl who were spectating.
In the end I did something that I didn't like doing. I put it in "M", "ESP-OFF", & in "1st gear". I put one foot on the brake the other on the gas and she started to look like the car from the C63 commercial spinning its wheels. lol
Evidentally doing so will come back to haunt me if I do it a bit much but I don't think I have seen what it can really do just yet.
Anyway my question to you all is, why did it not want to perform as it did before? What woudl be your thoughts? Why doesn't the C63 allow you to put it in 2nd while its at a hault? Could it be the pavement of the street that didn't allow the wheels to spin? Naaah! haha
Also what are some tips for a straight line race that you guys could share with me and others? How do you get the most amount of screeching, when wnated, out of the C63?
And last but not least how can you start off quickly, other then putting your foot to the pedal and yeeehawing your way down the street? lol
Thanks!

proper burnout would be in dyno mode or M1, as the wheels spin in D the car simply shifts and the wheels stop spinning. You most certainly can putthe C63 in 2nd gear at a stop it happens in D/C automatically. You can upshift or downshift in all modes.
Take your car to Irwindale Thursday night and test what she can do.
Congrats on your purchase and be safe

What you need is a jerry can of fuel and a Zippo. Pour liberally around the car and hey presto - a burnout.
Have an extinguisher handy if you want to pullout before the tyres go 'POP'

I don't know about you dude but I didn't get this car to race Honda Accords or Chevy Malibus at stoplights. The power is there when you need it and that's all that matters. It's a great car.

Laughing is great and all but if you guys get laughs out of posts like mine then you need to get a life!
I mean comon, threads in forums make you laugh? One or two threads may be ok but when you have a list of them that make you laugh.....Its just childishly mental! No Offense!
Go out, make some real friends, and laugh with them, rather than sitting here getting a kick out of people who don't even know you.
REAL LIFE IS BETTER THAN VIRTUAL GUYS!

All you fellas who bashed the OP must not have seen the TV commercials for the C63.
Its basically just a continuous 60 second burnout with the car emerging from the cloud at the end.
This guy's just trying to do what Mercedes brags about in their marketing for this vehicle
