So Sad?!?!? I just burned up a 2008 on the toll road...

Im so depressed. I punished a white 2008 C63 AMG today on a local toll road with my 06 V-Series... Any ideas on what I can do to my 09 C63 to pep it up?

If you not only want to dramatically empower your 2009 C63 but also reduce your risk of colon cancer, improve the health of your gums, and prevent child abuse everywhere then it is clear that you need to use K&N air filters.

Rock on my brother. Get those air filters today. I sleep with a few under my bed. They keep me safe at night.

09 C63 (Coming Soon)
Try pressing the gas. The guy probably didn't even realize you were racing.

Is your CTS-V modded? I have driven one and didn't think it was that quick at all. C63 feels noticably faster. Please let us know what the deal is once you get the Benz... I am curious to see

a quarter mile at a time
he may still be in the break-in period, and was going easy on his car

Exactly...unless heavily modded, he was not even trying.

2004 E55 AMG
the CTS-V is about a second slower in the 1/4 mile... its a mid 13 second car. the difference in acceleration at freeway speeds might be different though. my 400whp Subaru WRX could take a Lamborghini Gallardo up to 100mph, but beyond that is a different story. a lot of factors to look at. the only way you'll know for sure is to have a friend race you with your own car. magazine racing doesn't tell you the whole story...

that said, a chip would be the easiest upgrade and i think people are working on headers for it. i know there's a resonator delete, as well. just give it time and if you need more power, it should all be available soon.

everything and anything
Sounds like he was was on the Dulles toll road in Virginia. Definately not a very smart area to run fast in. The toll road happens to be heavily patrolled.

Indeed. It was the Dulles greenway... I would never take it pst 100 on the regular toll road. The greenway is wide open tho.. Also, yes my V is slightly modded.. Nothing major tho...Lowered 2" Lightweight 3 pce rims, short shifter, B&B Exhaust, air induction.. WITH THE OH SO WONDERFUL K&N FILTER!!!! Nothing major tho. I assumed that he was going easy for a break in... Still I cant wait to see what after market stuff will be readily available. Im getting a whole lotta crap for this car. All my caddy buddies are talking about the 09 V being a 550 horse monster of a car. We shall see. Thanx for the input! Cant wait! 2 WEEKS. I ordered Mars Red... Think I will be the only idiot that didnt go with a metallic color!
