Questions About My C63?
1. I was messing with the car last night and added my Ipod to the Ipod kit with came with the car but I couldnt manage the ipod from the interface of the car. I could hear the music but I couldnt change songs or see the names in the screen?
2. Do I need a CD to have the navigation maps working? because My S550 has all maps functioning when I was delieved the car when I bought it.
3. Also is breaking really needed because I am really anxious to floor the sucker and start racing? I have a frined who has a R32 twin turbo and he is dieying to race with me. He car does approx 11's on 1/4 mile. What do you guys think?
4. Any tips on anything else I should look for in my car which is out of the normal to look for?

what's the point of having a iPod kit if you can't see or select songs??
I thought you would be able to see what's going on either on the navi screen or instrument cluster
What problems are u having with the navi?
you can't use it????

you should follow the break-in procedure...but if your buddys car runs 11's you stand no chance on beating him in a 1/4mi race

The Ipod interface is a little confusing to start with.
Select "Audio" on the MM screen
You should the get a list of Sat, Disc, and Aux
Select Aux
Now hit the steering column left and right arrows to select Audio on the Main Indicator. (The speedometer)
The bit that is not explained is to then hit the "hang up telephone" button
This then gives you control of the Ipod so you can then scroll through Artists, Albums, Composers etc
In conjunction with the left side up & down arrow on the steering column and the "OK" button
Dont know who designed it but after a few trys its easy to figure out.
Strange thing is if you search "Ipod" on the Operators Manual or Comand manual there is zip on this?
Its a great thing to use to bust your MB sales guys nuts because most of them cannot figure it out how to use the Ipod Integration.

ive heard the 08 models display IPOD titles on the instrument cluster like in other MB models
ive also read that the 09s show the IPOD lists on the navi screen..
thats supposedly a new feature

I might post a separate question in a different section about this...
good explanation on the iPod interface.... My disappointment with the iPod integration is that it only reads out in the gauge cluster, not in the Nav, and it only displays song title (while the song is playing)

Might be a silly question but cant be asked to get the manual out;
1) Where exactly do you hook up the Ipod?
2) In the centre console (armrest) the manual says it opens but how on earth do you open it?
Thanks!

Yeah, I can't upload my phonebook via Bluetooth. Verizon is my provider and I have a POS Moto KRAZR phone.

There should be some paperwork containing instructions also.
On your armrest question there's a button on the drivers side just underneath the armrest which releases the cover.
