Is it just plug and play? If I ran a dealership, I would offer this up as a dealer option.
Great question????

Your USA dealers must be a hell of a lot more accomodating than ours.

So is the guy that buys the car now going to get a discount off the sticker price?

I wouldn't want a car with miles on it already?
Its bad enough when the workshop boys put the delivery miles on it.
I'm not buying it either, but hey, its just MHO. All of the AMG seats are near identical. You should have been able to tell that the fit was for you, prior to the purchase. I know my dealer, whom I've spent near half a million with, would still make me purchase the car, if I ORDERED it and didn't want it.

My dealer near me is selling for well under sticker, not moving I guess.

i am however 6'6''......so if i pull the trigger and later get tired of it
im msure one of the forum members here will take the car off my hands for a good deal
Last Emperor, you will be happy to know that one of my best friends is 6'6 and about 230lbs, he was amazed at how comfy the seats were, and he also stated he couldnt beleive his head doesnt scrape the roof, he is always buying SUV's due to his height. He was impressed.

The E63 and SL55 or the new SL63 seats are totally different than the seats in the C63. Not even close. I ordered the car without even seeing one. The car had 20 miles on it when I got into it and I put another 10 on it. So it had a total of 30 miles on it. I have bought at least 10 new cars and all of them had between 10-40 miles on them. The dealer was discounting the car $1000 for me since I have been waiting for so long. They have a list of people waiting for the C63 models so they will be able to get full list for it. Extra $1000 for the dealer so they were not crying. Most legit dealers will refund a deposit as long as you do not order some exotic color and options.

I test drove the C63 and ordered a SLK55 instead. I'm 158 pounds and my problem was sinking back into the seat and having bolsters (adjusted wide open) force my upper arms too far forward. It just wasn't comfortable. Up until this time I had never given much thought to seat comfort. I'm fortunate in that I don't have back or other ortho issues.

5'10", 170 lbs - Not sure what you are talking about man. Perhaps you didn't adjust the side bolsters ??? Those seats are the same that are in my Black Series and the C63 even has more electric adjustments than my car. You are the first person I have heard that has complained about the seats. Everyone I know who has those seats LOVES them. I am 6'0" 178 lbs and they fit me perfectly. The seats are the crown jewel of the interior. Comfortable enough for an 8hr drive and adjustale enough to give you full track holding to luxo cruising with the bolsters out. Again, you are the first person I have heard that does not like these seats.

First off, Corvette seats are the least supportive seats in any sports car ever... the Cobalt SS has better seats. Again, we have an issue of personal preference.

I have a 38 waste and I'm a wide guy and I LOVE those seats. I'm also used to driving race cars with bucket seats. The C63 seats are some of the most supportive seats, if not the most, in a production car. My mom sat in it and complained it was too tight... and she is like 5 ft 100 lbs. Not an issue of the seat being too small...

but i agree with the comment "to each his own"........ Have put on 350 miles on the car since picking it up at 7PM last night and the more I sit in it the more I like it!
At first was an odd feeling but it was just because of my wide a$$ my 6'4" 'skinny as a rake' buddy at first thought the seats were too tight and the bolsters were at their widest setting, 5 minutes later he was in love!!

Good seats are like good shoes. Wear them enough and you will love them. they have to be broken in so to speak....

You must have a very disproportional body. I'm around 200lb's and 6'1 and I have not found the seats in the CLK63 BS or C63 AMG at all confined or uncomfortable. The Large seats in the SLR are also very comfy as well.

IMO, for those getting ready to pickup their babies, don't worry. The seats are prefect, and if you've ever been in a sports car, sedan, or coupe then you will find them normal and simply wonderful.

Everyone has their likes & dislikes. I have to say though when I first got my car, and sat in it and drove it, it did feel restricting to some degree. I think most of that was due to never owning a car with as much side bolster. After logging a few hundred miles, I couldn't get enough of them, they were like one of your favourite pairs of dress shoes that fit like a glove.

But the real test came driving long distances, I thought they might not be that comfortable over the long haul, but boy! was I MISTAKEN!!!! These seats got better the longer I sat in them, and trust me, I sat it them a long time, I went 20 plus hrs non stop, these seats are by far the most comfortable seats I have ever driven in, especially over the long haul.

I have lower back issues but these suckers I could sit in for literally days on end. No joke. Each to their own I guess.

I guess those seats are more like my ML63, which had 3 miles on it when I bought it. And yes a "legit" dealer, as you say, will refund deposits on cars on the lot, I've never heard of a "legit" dealer refunding a deposit on a special order car. Best of luck in you future purchase. Ever think of going with a smart car?

The ML63 seats are the same exact seats that are in the E63 and they are not EVEN close to the seats in the C63. You should know what you are talking about before making comments. Talked to my salesman last night and they sold the car already. Full list so they made $1000 extra. Your dealers around you must not care about customer service. If it was a car that was special ordered and they could not sell it in a day that would be different and I would not expect to get my deposit back. When I ordered the car back in October I was told that the deposit was 100% refundable because they were going to have a waiting list for the car anyway. You can take your smart car comment and stick it where the sun does not shine. Looks like you are just a smart ***. Don't understand what your problem is? Everyone has their own opinion on what is comfortable is to them. I test drove the car and did not love it. Over and done.

You want lower back issues? I broke my tailbone a week before and was perfectly comfortable in these seats while the car was dishing out all the G forces and smoke it could manage... and i could not even sit down to eat dinner.

These are GREAT seats, but the aggressive side bolsters are not for everyone.

I have a question. I drive our administrative assistant home every Friday. She is on the heavy side, will she have problem fitting in the seat? I would say she is about 300lb, 5'6".
