360 forged CF Five
today i was talking to my dealer, telling him i got rims picked out for the car. he said the suspension was specially built with the rims that come with the car and my warranty regarding my suspension would be voided. he also said they wouldnt perform or hold up as good because of this. anybody know if the CF 360 forged with a deep lip be compatible with my c63?

you probably would let him void your warranty too after you tell him that you put in 89 instead of 91 octane gas.

I wonder he would say if you put the 19" AMG Factory Wheels on there. Haha
Besides if a suspension component did fail, the dealership would have to prove it was caused by the wheels before voiding your warranty. Same thing applies to a Reprogramming of the ECU, Exhaust, etc. Of course it is a lot easier to void a warranty if your engine blows and you have an Upgraded ECU, or a Supercharger Kit. Trying to prove that aftermarket wheels caused damage to a car's suspension is not in the dealer's interest.

ok ur cool... not like i was whining. just saying she aint gonna put up the extra $$$ if she thinks im gonna put something on it thats gonna **** it up. im going to college at lsu this fall, my mom wanted to reward me. i put up everything id been saving which is 15 gs. im not stupid I know it is outrageous for me to get this kinda car at 18, but u think ima say no? and i wont end up like that kid who drove his m5 off an airstrip. ive made mistakes behind the wheel and im very cautious because of it, i dont drive stupid u wont see me asking about how to get better burnouts when i get the car. i know im not indestructible, i can appreciate the power of a car like this.

That is not the case and totally wrong...
First I worked at a dealership so I have this information first hand. It is the Technician's judgment whether or not a modification caused a failure. He can decline doing the work if he feels your aftermarket component caused the failure. That is it, he or the service adviser can not void your warranty by just snapping their fingers. That does not happen.
Your dealership can decline to cover the work under warranty and force you to pay, or tell you to go somewhere else. They can also put in your file why they did not cover a repair under warranty. So if you try to come back and be slick they will see your repair history.
Secondly if you try and fight the dealership the Service Manager will get involved. He will asses the situation and make the final call, again not the technician or the Service Adviser. If he feels that your repair should not be covered under Warranty and you still want to fight it a Factory Rep is called out. So then a MB Rep comes out for your area and makes the decision. If he comes to the conclusion that your Warranty should be voided for that PARTICULAR part of the vehicle, then it will be in the database through your VIN Number. So you can go to any MB Dealer and they will be able to pull that up.
Also they can't just void your WHOLE warranty. Thats a myth. You have different components to your vehicle. A dealership can't void your COMPLETE warranty because you have different wheels. They would just be able to Void your Warranty on Wheels/Tires/ and possible Suspension Components or whatever was damaged because of the wheels. But they can't void Warranty repairs on A/C, Electrical, Radio, Powertrain, etc. because of wheels. Those are totally irrelevant and a dealership would not go through the trouble or trying to do that.
So..No a Dealership can't just snap their fingers at you and say your complete car warranty is voided because of one component.

Mod friendly dealer.
I have H&R springs, front lip, exhaust and a ridiciously loud subwoofer setup.
Never had a problem with warranty, but then again don't forget about your service advisor come christmas time.
