Good article. I like how the author is not ranking the cars, but instead giving each one's strenghts and weaknesses.
Let's face it, all three are great cars. It really comes down to personal preference and what you're looking for in a $70k street car.

ALMOST got an ISF. I thought I'd be able to get a good price as they consistently fall in the last place on reviews. It's a close last, but with issues like the various reviewers have noted (not in that review above) it does come in last. And - there are those fugly figure-8 exhaust. BLEAH.
Anyhow, the dealer wanted MSRP + ... it's a no no in Lexusland to do ADM so they put on "protection" products at $3500. LOL.
I was in the dealership all torn up, ripped jeans, my 9 year old in tow. The guy wouldn't give me time of day. I finally called him over to talk money and then politely thanked him and sat down in my $57k M Coupe. The same M Coupe that now begat a C63. (from a dealer who doesn't mind dealing with a skateboarder looking dad).

I just read this from M3post and posted it after in MyIS forum. Excellent review, although a little bit bias from the Lexus guy, which is expected. But at the same time the whole review from Motivemag is very well balanced and fair. But Damn the C63 looks really good compare to the other two.

2009 C63 AMG Black on Black PP Package CF fully loaded
As I've said before... I test drove the M3, and the C63 wins hands down in every way, confort, control, power, sound... I can go on and on, I could care less what it does on the track going in circles left left left... and what? C63 is only 1 or 2 sec behind.

When the magazines test drive cars on tracks they are aware that people don't buy cars to go racing. However, it does give them indication on how the car is able to perform -- even when those numbers are toned down, which means while on paper the C55 looked stronger than the M3 (more HP, more Torque, better sound), but driving around a ramp entering the highway at 60MPH could seem easy in the M, quite tricky in the nose-heavy AMG.

BUT I think the C63 is the better car, for a lot of people anyway. But I would take nothing away from that B-mer.
