I know what rwhp/rwtq is and how it's derived, I was just saying that the tq must be rated at the flywheel (HP looks legit for rw, maybe a tad high but not impossible).

I agree, 545 rwtq seems off.....

The torque you see there is 'Rear Wheel Torque' which is the amount of torque generated at the wheel via the transmission multiplication. Certainly 340 - 350rwhp for a stock C63 doesnt seem to be on the too-high side when you compare it to some of the other results getting around

Will do you up a graph with derived torque rather than actual torque on it today so it makes sense to those familiar with Dynojet readings

So basically your dyno doesn't take into account torque multiplication by the drivetrain, understood. FWIW though it's industry standard to do so.

Of course it does if I choose to graph the derived torque channel......(I wrote that in my last post)

Martin,

Does that mean you are reflashing the stock ECU, or are you using something else to re-tune the car?

Why bother posting anything but numbers where DT torque multiplication is factored out? Not trying to be an *** but it doesn't make sense and is misleading.

The numbers actually don't mean a whole lot, it's the % change/increase and where this occurs in the rpm range that is what most people are interested in (unless or course we're going into a "...my numbers are bigger than yours conversation..." )

So Martin, is a re-flash or piggy-back CPU or what?

Thanks.

They mean something when you're trying to find legitimate dyno numbers for stock C63s.

Hey simple difference of cultures at play here rather than anything more sinister
Being a load based dyno rather than an inertial dyno like a Dynojet, the Mainline can generate a pure roller torque signal without the need for deriving from rpm. This is the way a lot of load based tuning is performed in Australia....however for those times when a derived number is needed (such as now! ) we simply change the bottom graph to Derived torque, and there you have it

How did you guys get this car into dyno mode.

Thanks

Anyone ? Please ?

Dyno Mode

NS_C63 (and MHP),

I thought your original request was a joke to be honest. At the risk of getting flamed and finding out that I am wrong, I do not think there is such a thing as dyno mode on the C63 or any car for that matter!

You want to know what your car makes in horsepower and torque? The factory gives us ratings of 451 flywheel horsepower & 443/ft lbs of torque. If you take it to an actual tuning shop with a dyno, you will see through previous posts that the cars make around 450 horsepower at the flywheel and between 370 & 380 at the rear wheels. Maybe I'm missing something, what would you need a dyno mode for?

Overbudget, traditionally the W204 series of C Class Mercedes needs to be put into 'Dyno Mode' to allow a dyno run to take place. If this is not done then the ESP/ABS system wont allow the car to go above around 5mph. In the case of most any AMG this is not a problem as simply switching ESP to the 'OFF' position will cause complete ESP shutdown on a chassis dyno (while it wont on the road). Now you guys know, you can get with developing the

OK, I stand corrected.

The way the question was asked, made me envision someone wanting to put their C63 in "drag race mode" or "turbo mode" or "dyno mode"... It just struck me as funny, but in the end, I was the one uninformed.

Sorry.
