Hey guys. I am sure this is not the best forum to start this thread, but i am looking at purchasing a 1989 Mercedes-Benz 300CE AMG. the car is almost showroom condition and has 65,000 original miles. I was just wondering if there was anyone on here that knows a lot about the old AMG's and could help me decide what this thing is worth. Nothing like NADA or Kelly Blue book list an AMG option in the pricing. it has the inline 6cyl. motor. that is about all i know of right now.

This should be in the 124 section, since that car is from that model generation.

There was not a 300CE AMG, the 124C that AMG made was an E36 AMG, with the same modified M104 as the C36 sold in the US.

Yes and it was in 1993 i think. It was the first official AMG.
300CE amg doesnt exist.

it does exist. 300ce AMG. the first one of this model was the 1988 300ce AMG "HAMMER". Here is a picture of that first car.

So the Hammer would have the AMG 6.0 and plenty of paperwork to back it up.
