I think GM/Cadillac's goal was to use the CTS as an image altering vehicle from its conception. They did it with the first model and they've done it again with this one. I have driven the DI 3.6 CTS and it's put together very well! Yes, it's a Caddy, but the fact that people (like us) are comparing it to an AMG product is what they intended all along. They don't have to beat or be better than AMG or BMW at all. They're in the club now and no one can deny it. It sounds like a great package to me. Would I buy it? Hell no! I love my Click 3 fiddy too much right now! 
I'm sure there will be comparos between the Benzo E63, BMW M5 and the sure to be developed STS-V!
