Game over in speed dept. 2009 CTS-V
I almost bought a first gen CTSV - but the dealer attitude combined with all the rear end problems... made me run like hell for the hills!
Key Specs:
*Limited-slip differential made of cast iron
*Main competitors: BMW M5, Mercedes-Benz E55 AMG, and the Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG
*Engine Type: 6.2L supercharged V8 (LSA)
*0-60 mph: 3.9 seconds
How do you figure game over? We do 0-60 in 3.9 stock (as tested in C&D) and all that is before the tuner magic restores the missing 70 torque and ponies!

where do "we" do a 3.9 0-60? lol.....not a magazine or dragtimes report in the world showing consistent 3.9's out of a c class amg.........do you have a different magazine than I got in the mail from Cd?

But I do agree, 0-60 doesn't mean much with this kind of power. 0-100 #s mean more to me.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
I have the same magazine and for those who don't here is the same article but on-line:

Check out the Powertrain chart 0-60 in 3.9 for the C63.....

I wonder what Mallett will do:

Come on lets be real here, I have a C63 on order but it just irks me when you guys act like MB is the god of manufacturers. If that were to happen to GM you guys would be crucifying them. Personally right now I still prefer the C63(unless it gets delayed one more time at which point i'm throwing in the towel) even though it wont be nearly as fast the CTS-V, but give credit where its due. The CTS-V is going to be one BAD *** car, and this is coming from a car enthusiast, not a nut hanger of one particular brand.

We can agree that AMG has the heritage and pedigree, but stock-for-stock and price, this is a great package.
