Two "problems" today
Well i just go back from going to the grocery store, pickin up some fruit ... I love gala apples.
anyways - when i was turning around in the cald-e-sac (or however you spell it) there was a metal on metal noise, i did a couple wheel lock turns and it occurs a millimiter before wheel lock, its a definite EEEEEEEEE like you would get from unlubricated very smooth medal rubbing, its almost harmonic but I am sure not good?
the other thing was when I was backing into my garage (my driveway is on a slight slope) the fog lights came on. I dont know if it was both, it was definetly the left one, and it came on slow, like slow glow to on, and then fade out. I stopped and was like "what the hell" then pulled the light switch to make them go on manually and they popped right on - not the fade it did by itself. I assume no one has ever had this and there isnt some sort of "when you back up on a hill the fog lights dim on and off to alert the traffic around you" - I dont think ze Germans would think of that.

^^^ Yeah what he said with regards to the fogs. Actually I think the adaptive foglights is a neat feature, however it probably does look like you have a burnt out foglight at times to oncoming motorists.
Is there anyway to leave foglights on in auto mode?
As far as the other issue, I do not get that sound when I turn the wheel full lock. Perhaps just get it checked out?

have a look at your engine mounts. if they're shot they'll allow the engine to shift and your exhaust system can come in contact with your body or steering rack which could cause odd metal on metal noises.
