The car i ordered and passed on has arrived at the dealership today!
Its at Ray Catena Mercedes Benz in Edison NJ.

Here are some details:

-White
-Black interior
-Carbon Fiber (very rare I was told)
-FULL Performance Package (including the suede wheel)
-EVERY other available option from seats to iPod

also, they have NOT drilled a plate frame into the front bumper


IMHO, this is the HOTTEST looking combo for this car, but thats just my two cents.

In anycase, the car is here and its available IMMEDIATELY!

Also, I was told they would go ATLEAST $1500 under MSRP
which means you can get them down some more!

i love both honestly, but im very happy with the 650 too

the decision to go with the bimmer tho was made because of lack of a good lease program on the benz

how do you have the "FULL" performance package? this includes the brakes as well?

yes, the dealer told me it has full PP numerous times, and that the sticker lists full PP

i told him to physicaly check the steering wheel, but he hasnt gotten back to me yet

I just test drove the white car you had on order, as you know it had the FULL PP package, CF and guess what? The suspension was way tooo tight compared to the Non PP suspension. You're lucky you didn't pick this car up, I think you would have been disappointed with the hard ride. I drove the car for about 10-15minutes and I can tell you first hand that it is very Jittery thoughout the ride. When I test drove the Non PP I remember it being a great ride, even when riding over bumps rough roads... All I can say is for me, its a good thing my car today was still in the yellow build state (where I can still make changes) I told my sale person to pull the 030 package. She is also looking into possable LSD, limiter being a added without the whole 030 package. Does anyone know of seprate codes for the LSD being sold? All in all the car is still an animal with or without the PP pacakge.... It was well worth the drive to NJ thanks for the heads up....

they let u change ur order? because i went to my dealer yesterday, says my car is being built without cf, and with black maple instead, and its too late to change it. he says if i want cf i can order another and wait til february. i wouldve picked the black maple if cf wasnt an option but im kinda pissed they just changed it last second without any word to me about it.

My order has been in since June with CF. The first week of July I was told there would be a 3 month delay for CF. My car is due in w/ CF the first week of Oct. As far as build date, it should have gone into Red status which would mean "its being built" but as of today it was still yellow so I told my sales person to pull the PP package. The change has Not been confirmed as of yet, she said it will need to be called in on Monday. Also she will see if I can get LSD, Limiter as an option... I guess we'll see. I most differently will have CF trim with my car but I'm I've been waiting the status to go Red which will be a done deal.

dlbello: I'm really surprised that they let you test drive it for 15 minutes, especially if they knew you weren't a buyer...

I agree on the stiff ride... my non-PP car is even a little stiffer than I would ideally like.

This has been my second time a sales person had asked me to test drive there car without asking for information seconds after walking in... but my dammed dealer from where I'm purchasing my car won't even let me do a test with a 1K deposit down,,, go figure. I was soo surprised on how hard the ride was, I guess all of the magazines right ups were straight up right unless you will track the car this is something you should do without. But the CF trim is well worth the price, its a must in my book looks fantastic!!!!

yea ur lucky, im kinda pissed that i wont be getting cf. but the black maple still looks really good so its not a deal breaker for me. now if it was being built with aluminum or brown wood then yes id have to get another car. im a little concerned about the PP suspension now though. oh well i guess ill have to just see when it arrives.
