I like the debadging, but I prefer painted sidemarkers. Even when they're clear, your eyes are drawn to them.

living in the capital of mercedes-benz in germany, i'd say maybe 15% of the cars here have badges. on AMG models they are especially rare

My thought as well....

I love cars with no badges but when you but C63 on the plate i end up just scratching my head.

Cars look better with no badges imho. good move.

This is a ping pong debate. There is more then 0ne reason to debadge your ride. Ya some guys take it off or rebadge to be possers. And ya some guys dont want people to know what they drive. Personaly im planing on debadging my car. Its a C3504Matic. I dont care if people think its a 230 or a 300. Im gona do it because I like the look. Also im glad guys change up there cars, mine wont look the same and thats what I like about it. If your a real benz guy, its kinda fun to fig out what the car is. You get to test your knowledge and fig out what this guy is really driving. Even the rebadged car.. me and my buddy always look at a car and say NO that not a so and so, it just a ..... or that is really a ....!!!

Its your car so do what you like. Unless someone else is paying for it and doesnt like your ideas.

As my German friends says

"Here in Germany they debadge because they can't afford the real one"

Since two people asked "why I debadged if I have an AMG license plate frame and C63 custom plate"...

My answer would be that I think the car looks cleaner without the emblems. As a sidenote, I also think it's a little dorky that they put 6.3L badges on the side when it has a 6.2L engine, but that's trivial...

As far as the plates... I could have something like as impressive as "6JMC43B" or it could say "C63" which I think both looks better and describes the model better than little emblems...

I was at a Toronto MB dealer today and there was a Blk on Sahara 09 C63 that was in he delivery area, De-Badged. Looked so clean that I tried to change my order mine without. Too late in the process for changes.....oh well. Maybe later.

I actually prefer either the orange or clear reflector on the C63, than any type of reflector on the BMW 650!!!! Ha Ha.

Sorry, I couldn't resist...

Actually the cars are labelled 63 because of the heritage of the original motor. Way back in the day. I forget what the name of the car was. But it won all its races and dominated its era.

Back to the topic, Mars red looks really sweet on the C63, I think either Mars or Steel Grey is my favorite color.

Clean car!! I can only imagine what is sounds like with the mods since stock they're already mean sounding...

P.s. De-badging is a personal preference thing of course but I'm with you (my M is de-badged as well)

You can find the clear or the smoked markers through Ebay, simply search for "W204 Mercedes marker". They are about $45 a pair plus $10 in shipping.

Some people say it only takes about 10 minutes per side. It probably took me about 45 minutes to an hour to do both, but I was being extra cautious figuring it out. You can find the link to install them by searching for marker install.
