I got it. Given the cost of tires, it is worth it with a couple of nails or one bent rim.

Well worth the $500 or so you can get it for. Think of it this way, it covers any wheels attached to the car - not just the OE wheels. Also - any nails, wheel or tire damage - bam, covered. So you swap snows/summers - both sets covered - whatever is on the car.

Helluva deal.

I'm guessing you're stuck with the bent rims....right?

Are you sure it covers Non OEM wheels? I had asked my previous dealer and they said Only what comes with the car. Don't let your dealer tell you different for a sale

Also you mentioned $500 The starting price from MBUSA is $999.00 + tax. How is it you paid only $500.00

I got mine at that price when packaged with the lo-jack. Lo-jack was at dealers cost as well (at least according to wht they showed me LOL), and it covers any wheels and tires on the car.

I got it also but paid $1200.The paperwork from MB they showed me showed 1200 for AMG cars. Yes, aftermarket wheels and tires are covered, but per the contract it must meet manufacturer's size specifications. Not sure if that refers to just rim size (ie no 20 inch rims) or to wheel width as well. Also not sure if plus size tires would be covered.

Update: Yes this is from MBUSA directly it only covers bent/cracked wheels not curb rash, for that you get a third party warranty which I did which also covers door dings. Also, I was not able to haggle on these but they were able to drop my financing by one point. Also, I only paid $800 over invoice for the car

I found out after visiting many MB dealers, a sales guy told me you can negotiate the price which I did... I'm paying $795 for 5yr, I don't think they would give it up for $500. When I first inquired they told me 1K then they said oh its a AMG so $1200, I'm telling you most of the sales people in any industry are full of Sh*t!!!

Agreed on the "full of ---t" comment.
I did not get anything off MSRP so when it got to the extras at the point of finalizing the sale I was stubborn. So ended up with the tire and wheel protection plus lo-jack with early detection, and a door ding and car dent repair policy (with deductible)

$595 for 5 years is my dealer's standard price. They said if I get aftermarket wheels, they will write it up so it appears they came on the car.

I got the plan with my CPO'd car. They charged me $370 for 5 years.

It doesn't state OEM or anything in the policy. But, you do have to call if you need to effect a claim.

Can you say "Nail in the outer tread row"?

its money well spent!
I would definitely recommend it to everyone unless they want to change their rims. OEM rims only or whatever you fitted at the dealer.

2nd week after purchase, I dipped my car into a construction area, scratching my right front rims pretty badly, along with a slow puncture.
I just drove in to the dealer during non-congested hours W/O notice in advanced.
didn't need to pay a penny for that to be replaced.

if you live in the city with murderous potholes and endless construction, its a MUST!
or you can also get away with it if you are a horrible parallel parker.

as for the seats, they are made pretty comfy as long as you have the proper seat setup. it is a rough ride compared to an E or S though. but I didn't have a problem driving from NY to MA

For the people that just said they purchased a tire package for under $500, I believe we're talking about 2 different packages. My coverage is directly from MBUSA Not the dealer (The dealer also has separate package plan deals insurance ) we maybe talking about a different Wheel and tire package, it may Not be the same type coverage as the MBUSA coverage.

I'm 6'7'' and i have a c63, no problems. The people that u hear about bring the car back are pussies, if u think this cars ride is too harsh, then you should most likely have your ***** removed....I'm so tired of hearing about all these people whining about the rough ride...jeez man, its a sports car, thats what we were all waiting for, a legit C-class sports car, they come out with it and people whine because its too much like a sports car...

heh - discount on tire package $500, paying list price for a great car - priceless.

So discount in this case is subjective. They made their $8k+ from me on the car.
