Price change!
I was at the dealership today, I don't know if I can post the name of it, but anyways, it was W I Simonson in Santa Monica. I was placing an order for 09 C63 and guess what... The saleman showed me the car, we went through all the details and paperwork and after all that, he shows me a letter from MB (not sure the German headquaters or the MBUSA) saying that: the price range for new vehicles will change after 1 october. So i said: I'm placing my order now (09/27/08) why would I care? He replied, the car wil arrive after the 1st of October and since you are paying after the date stated in the letter, you must pay the new price. Sorry for all the lyrics (still too excited about getting "the beast") So the new price is USD56,300 instead of USD55,100, I'm hoping that that is the difference we will have to pay for the new mirrors

I just got the same info from my dealer today, they said it's because the weakened of the US Dollar against other currency (especially against EURO), that's why they need to incerase the price...lucky me, I got mine 4 month ago, and still have my grinds everyday since I got the car

If they are adding back power folding mirrors, or key less go, 19" wheels, or back up camera....(or any of those things that are simply standard in all cars in the class!), then I wouldn't have a problem with it.
Otherwise, it would be a foolish thing to do with the CTS-V about to hit showrooms.

Hey guys, just wanted to say that even though MBUSA is going to be raising prices, that they are offering customers price increase protection as long as orders are submitted and accepted before that date of increase.
Don't believe what the dealer is telling you - he's only giving you one side of the story and is trying to capitalize on the other.
Contact MBUSA if the dealer says otherwise to clarify for yourself.

yeah I had a dealer call today to advise that prices on all cars including in stock were going up 3%. I said you better check your info.
Market is down so is the euro and they are increasing in stock cars. Nice month end try.
