paulGT3, the Perf Pkg brake rotors are not ceramic. They are 2-piece iron rotors with aluminum center hubs (which save some weight) as MB Fanatic and MHP said above.... guys correct me if I am wrong!

You sir are correct. They save about 5lbs per rotor, and are only used up front.

Bump!
I too am looking for a more aggressive pad. Actually I am more focused on less dust. Matte wheels and dust don't mix well. Been trying to track down ceramic pads but seem extremely hard to come by. Very limited qtys produced. If I recall correctly, Pagid might make them for our car. Funny as it may sound, I brought my Rav4 to Midas about a month ago and they were pushing ceramic composite pads. Asked if they had for C63 and the guy said he was pretty sure. Never followed up...

Jerry at ForMyMercedes sells Porterfield pads. They are supposed to reduce brake dust by 85%. I have never tried them but give him a call and check out his site.

If you want touchier brakes then you need to upgrade to a stainless steel brake line. This will increase pedal firmness.
I have done this mod on my sport bikes in the past and the feel is noticeably firmer once the stainless lines are on.
I doubt change the pads will increase firmness of the pedal.

A C63 will out brake an M3 any day, especially during heavy track use where the crappy BMW floating caliper brakes will quickly fade. I've owned, driven and tracked both car brands and the fixed piston Brembo brakes on the AMGs are way better than the floating caliper brakes BMW puts on the M cars. Just my $.02
If you want more aggressive pads, get some Endless ME20s, but be prepared for noise. If not, go for the endless MX72s and you will have a great mix of increased bite and stopping power with minimal moise over OEM.

So you are saying these pads are available for the C63? Can you PM me a price for F&R MX72's?

AMG could have installed a much more aggressive pad with more bite, but the wear characteristics would have worn out the rotors quicker, so they have to find the right balance of grip application and wear. Also keep in mind that the M3 single piston front caliper would respond quicker than the AMGs 6 piston. But the 6 piston put a stronger clamping force on the pads and rotors, and the sahre weight of the C63 at 4000+ lbs, must be factored in. How much does the latest 4 door M3 weigh?

Thanks C.Z. 55, just as I suspected less weight equals less weight transfer better braking response.
