Tire pressure light on

I picked up my c63 today, but the check tire pressure light on, I checked all tires pressure, they were at 44psi. So I lowered the psi to 40, light still on.then I lowered it again to 36 cuz my g35 low profile tires were on35 psi, warning light still on. So any suggestions before I bring it to the dealer tommorow in the morning? Btw, I have a white/blk fully loaded with cf and pp, can't wait until it's 1.5k mi.... I'm luvin it!!!

Anything with BOOST
Take a look at the tire sidewall, I believe the Pirelli's need more air, 49lbs, from memory. You are probably going the wrong direction with the pressure.

Forget the sidewall! look in the door jamb. Yes they are a higher than normal pressure tire set. Plus think about it - it's now getting cold out so the tires are collapsing a bit.

good luck with that problem. i took them 4 tries to figure out what the problem was. my tire pressure light was on all the time and they finally found a small nail in one of the tires so make sure they check them THOROUGHLY. btw, mercedes service SUX

I just took my AMG up here to my place in the mountains and my tire light came on. The temp up here is 20-30 degrees colder here than at my home. I aint going to worry about it till I get home.

ease up newb.

Every vendor's service sucks. I for one am thrilled with the way my dealer treats me.

I had problems with the tire pressure monitor initially. The light would come on and say "correct tire pressure" even though there was nothing wrong with the pressure. I took it in three times and the dealer would reset it and then it would come back the next day. After the third time is has yet to come on. Dealer never was able to explain the issue. The dealer set my tires to 38 psi.

TPI Issues

I didn't make it home from the dealer before the warning came on. The factory specs are 41#s front and 45#s rear(cold). My car was delivered with 32#s in each tire!!?? Filling them made the warning go away for a week when there it was again. This time all four tires were still at the correct pressure so I reset the TPI to "current pressure" which is an option in the instrument cluster and it's been fine for a month or more since.

18 E63s Wagon 15 GL63 (sold), 10 Turbo TT MT, A36 Bonanza, 20 JLU Rubicon
that should be 41 and 49 (or whatever it says on the placard) when cold... that MEANS " NOT AFTER DRIVING".. as tires can and will heatup 3-5 degrees depending on the ambient temp.

always... ALWAYS use the temp depicted in the owners manuel / door jam/ or gas filler cap!!

AMG spends many a hour on the track to sort out the best pressures for the tires... both normal driving and "high speed" .... both should be listed.

also... as we are going into cooler temps.. my 36 readings are now 33..

Inside the gas cap is a stick figure key that shows:

2 people 3 suitcases = 39f 39r

5 people 7 suitcases = 41f 45r

.
My suspicion is that those TPMS sensors are calibrated for the stock 18" so you probably should be running the same pressure as the 18s.

There seems to be a problem with their tire pressure system cos I had the same problem with my c350 (always when it was cold or really warm outside it came on) and apparently the C63 has the same... It just does not seem to be working that well (the tire pressure system)
