Can anyone explain what the airmatic suspension does and
do we have the airmatic DC and what does the DC mean?

Airmatic is an active air suspension available on all models except the C/CLK/SLK. Instead of regular shocks, there are struts that use air to keep the car up.

Cars like the SL/CL/S also have an option called ABC (Active Body control) which uses hydraulic fluid to control yaw, dive, pitch, squat essentially keeping the car nearly flat through the corners. The SL/CL come standard is optional on the S550 (standard on S600/S63/S65).

The C uses agility control and the shocks are like those of the Koni FSD shocks. They are active damping and are quite ingenious in that they dont need electronics to work. Though with Advanced Agility Control you can adjust the active damping rate from Normal, Sport to Comfort but this is not available in the USA because of the morons who work at MBUSA.

Thats Odd because here is what the AMG site says and why I am confused

AMG shock absorbers and AMG stabilizers based on Airmatic DC, which adjusts the Air spring tuning to any driving situation

What does that mean to you?
