Sorry I misstated. What I meant with Tele Aid- dont we have a
lo-jack LIKE system in our cars?
The Tele-Aide rep told me that they could locate our cars within
30 seconds of it being stolen.
So the correct way for me to say it is "Dont we have a stolen
car location system in our cars? Making Lo-Jack redundant?"

According to Tele Aid that is what I thought. She even told me to
tell my insurance person that the car has a location system.

If you have the optional Tele-aid system in your car, then yes. If you don't have it, then, obviously, they cannot locate the car. It was standard on my C55, but not on my current C63 (I didn't know it was an option when I ordered it).

Something is wrong with yours. Bring her back to the dealer and ask for the CEL.

I have a Great story, I live near the Verazzano Narrows and the the NYPD was chasing a stolen car w/ a LoJack signal over the VZ bridge but when they were almost over the bridge the signal was becoming weak so they proceeded back over the bridge where the signal was stronger and stopped at the top middle of the bridge where the stolen cars signal was ever so close,,, Turns out the cargo ship which was cruising under neath the bridge had the stolen car loaded and heading out of the country... They called in the coast guard and stopped the ship within minutes and the recovered the car. A few more minutes the car would have been in the open sea on its way out of the U.S.A.
