Is there more than one choice of black for the '09 C63? I see "solid" or "metallic" choices and people refer to flat, obsidian and piano black so it gets confusing. Anybody know the variations of black available?

 

Obsidian = metallic
Standard black = glossy non-metallic

 

Obsidian black is really really nice to go with the car, but I'd admit dat its very hard to keep it clean

 

Standard Black is what I call Piano Black (High Gloss) which I think looks outstanding in any lighting, especially at night with the Bi-Xeon lights on...

 

I washed my std black C63 today and even as we speak it is sitting in the garage getting dirty. Damn you standard black. It's a love/hate relationship.

 

On my standard black I used the Glossit sealant and it seems to get dirty slower. I park on a dirt lot at work and that doesnt help

 

I had my dealer throw in a MB car cover (which cost around $300.00) and you get a detail kit, I'd recommend Zano detail products which I recently purchased and am very happy with it. After detailing the car, part of the kit has a detail spray called Z6 Ultra clear Gloss http://www.zainostore.com/Merchant2/...oduct_Count=11 You can actually wipe down the car from light dust or light dirt without sctaching the finish with this miracle spray... Read up the product (s) they have posted on there web site.

Car is Zaino'd. I touched it up today with Z6. I've been buying stuff from Sal in Howell, NJ since 1999.

 

K... Then you're almost on the ball, a good car cover and your Black C63 will be good to go for the Holidays

I've also known Zaino'd since 1980 when he started his business in Coney Island, he customized my 69 vette which was a head turner more like a head twister...
