The meaning of is various which mine with nothing added means I'm have interest in knowing thus I subscribe in that way. I find this amusing actually. And reason being is when I first saw your popcorn post, I wasn't sure what you were insinuating. You're right it's all about how it's perceived. For me, it almost came across as if you were waiting for some instigating to occur. After a quick search I realized your last several posts have been merely popcorn as well. So while I think perhaps the way gravedgr presented himself was a bit too the point, I can honestly see his point as I came to the same, yet nicer conclusion So I don't think he was singling you out but rather frustrated that your post was nothing more than popcorn, which to his point really doesn't contribute anything (IMO) to the thread.

To your point (lots of points here!), you know you don't need to post to subscribe right? You can easily select the "Subscribe to this Thread" option from the 'Thread Tools' drop menu without having to post anything. This eliminates unnecessary waste of bandwith and posts.

We are working with the install shop on this. The car is coming back to them for diagnosis shortly. At this point, we feel it may be a problem with the factory alternator on the car itself (a problem we've seen before on BMW's as well), where the stock alternator is going bad or on the weaker side. We've sold plenty of these 63 pulleys (in the 3-digits) worldwide and this is the first car to exhibit this issue which, coupled with our previous knowlege of similar problems with other cars having weak alternators in the past, leads us to believe the problem is specific to this particular customer's vehicle. Will keep you posted.

Is this thing a bolt on mod where I will get the HP gain instantly or do you have to tune for it. I have a RENNTECH programmed ECU and am wondering if I will have to redo my ECU for this mod to be utilized.

Last we were told (months ago), a new alternator was supposed to have been installed on the customer's car and we would be notified if there was still an issue. We have not heard anything back. Again, to date this is the ONLY car that's claimed to have had any issue of the now hundreds of these pulleys we've sold.

In addition to looking pretty, the Evosport pulley enhancement is the perfect addition to an ECU tune and filters. Course, if you don't like a torquey engine/tranny combination and right now immediate throttle response, then this mod isn't for you.

Got mine installed yesterday at Evosport. What can I say? WOW, fudge, glad I did it.

My 17 year old son exclaimed, "I only gave it a quarter throttle and car stood up and flew."

I like driving in traffic again!

hey robchang68, tell me what you think of evosports 63 pulley. im thinking about getting a kit soon.

I am waiting on my pulley/damper from Evosport as well. This should be an automatic HP gain and is only $75 per HP. This item will cost some installation labor as well. I am also getting a custon exhaust piece made to delete secondary cats with an "X" crossover and resonator upgrades. I will post a thread on this installation with pictures. This will add power with class.

As a side, the build quality and durability of our pulleys are far superior to the factory elastomer damper that we have seen come apart on several cars. Our 63 pulleys use the same technology we use on 55 Kompressor pulleys of which we have had zero durability issues. And that's going back 6 years with cars that have well over 120,000 miles on the pulley.


Yes, they've been promosing that for years. It's something to do with lobbyists and monkey labor unions that's holding it back. But don't worry, we will have an upgrade for that too!

HI Guys, we are installing the Evosport pulley system next week, and possibly doing a before and after dyno test to see the rwhp improvement. The Pulley looks absolutely first class!! I let you know the results next week!

evosport, what is the weight difference vs. the OEM pulley?

I can't seem to find the weights for a stock pulley and I don't have one to weigh right this minute. But our pulley weighs 4.30 lbs. I'll get the stock weight soon unless someone has one lying around they can weigh first.
