C63, BMW E46 M3
Subframe

Does anyone here think the C63 will have subframe issues like other models have (ie E55)? I thought I was done with this issue with my M3 until I started reading the threads on this forum. For those who don't know BMW is notorious for the subframe attachment points failing(E36, E46, Z4's). I had a reinforcement kit from Turner motorsports put on as a preventative measure. Good thing I did b/c when they dropped the rear axle/diff/subframe assembly there were two hairline cracks already forming in the sheet metal. The M has only 295 lb-ft of torque, imagine what 443 would do to the sheet metal. The theory is that the repetitive forces from loading/unloading the rear end causes fatigue failure if the sheet metal is'nt up to snuff. (E36, E46, Z4's)
