C63 OWNERS age range??
@DaGS1800: Congradulations on your success and even more for your C63! I prob should not have stated anything in here in the first place. I have already gone over this with many people, including bigbodybeeenz a few months ago. I understand it is hard to believe that an 18 year old can afford a C63 AMG but thankfully I have been fortunate enough to do so. I could sit here and try to explain it all to you, as I have countless times before, but I am simply tired of it. I am pretty sure bigbodybeeenz will confirm that I am not lieing if you ask him.
I wish you and your business the best!

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
Question: to all you guys just as old as me or younger who say that they bought the car themselves..
If you dont mind me asking, How did you guys afford a c63?
and Im not bashing you or anything or trying to call you out. I am just genuinely interested because Im getting my Bachelor's degree in math/Economics with a business minor hoping to get some type of finance job(financial analyst) after graduation, but no one is hiring right now. Its the worst time to graduate in teh U.S. in a very long time. Anyway, I am just wondering what it is you do that allows you to afford such an expensive car so that maybe i can get some ideas how to make some real money.
maybe ill go try to be an actuary (
kills myself).

Sorry to revive that old topic, and make this my first post, but I could help but feel for him.
I don't own a C63 yet, but am considering making a purchase by the end of the fiscal year (between a new C63 or a used M6 coupe, but since I registered for this forum before I did on M6board, I might lead towards the C since the driveway already has an '09 BMW 535i). I'd just like to say that people should be a little bit more open minded when it comes down to things like this now. I understand some people are skeptical because there are 17-21 year old kids out there whose parents did indeed buy them their cars and they show off like there is no tomorrow. I can't verify whether he did buy his car or not, but there are also kids who do tend to work for what they want. I bought a certified pre-owned 2005 corvette for $33,900 (I know, not the same price range as a C63, but I did get alot of allegations that the car was parent-bought) back in August of 2007, the only help I did get was a cosign. I'm currently 18 and about to turn 19 in late March.
For that car, I worked 40 hours at a restaurant during high school since I was 16 to afford a down payment and handle a monthly payment over 76 months (stupidest thing to do ever). Later on, when I turned 18, I applied for a job at my father's pharmaceutical company as a sales rep. Got that job and still work 40 hours a week. Nine months later, went up the chain a bit faster than people because of my connection, but I still had to work for it and still do. I obviously make more than the average $8.50/hour that I did at Boston Market, but nonetheless, I still go to work everyday after classes and show up at my office on Saturdays as well.
I just want to throw it out there that there are younger people who are willing to break their backs and buy something they want and making immediate judgments are wrong. Now from what I've been reading, Merc-Skycap is very much like myself. Seems like a decent guy, get accused by DAS, but doesn't flame back.
(Note: For the Corvette, I'll admit to the parents paying insurance.)
But onto the topic, 18 right now, if I were to buy a C63 AMG, it'd definitely be before I turned 20.

My other rides include a 740 hp, stroked and supercharged 2005 GTO;
a stock 2007 Chevy Tahoe;
a 1994 high rider Jeep Wrangler w/12" lift;
And a 2006 Corolla (4 Sale).
Just love cars and need one for every occasion.
Everytime I take out the C63, I like it even more than the last time.
