They probably aren't driving a tercel. What about the whole entertainment biz? High tech?....... Then there are all those teens who simply want a nice car and commit 90% of their income to driving it. Evidently not all people under 20 have mom and dad buy their cars. Some people "hate on" young people with money. "Hate on" being synonymous for envy. But this is North America, somewhere anyone of any age can have everything or nothing. Instead of judging teens with c63's, put effort into owning a veyron by 30.
It all depends on where you live. I know in Vancouver B.C, and in the Seattle/Bellevue area there are a lot of rich kids who were born with a platinum spoon and receive very nice cars at the age of 18 without doing anything themselves.

As for teenagers with money; a senior from my high school graduated with a 1.1 million signing bonus for a minor league baseball team at the age of 18 (tragically he died the next year in a car accident) so yes it is possible for teens, early 20 year olds to have a lot of "self made" money but many people would argue that modeling or being able to throw a basketball isn't an accomplishment compared to say the fellow earlier who studied his *** off in HS to be able to graduate college at 20, finish his MBA by 24 and already have a successful company.

This is where the hate comes from, where someone who busted their *** off in school or working 60+ hours a week sees a "kid" who basically got luckily with good looks, a good arm or a good voice and is equally successful while still in their teens or 20's.

However, rightfully so because most of the teens here have not said how they made their money other than "i made it myself" or "i work a lot". Why not just say "i play pro ball or I'm a commercial actor"?

and FWIW, I'm 26, bought it at 25 and paid in full.

I am some XX years old.

I am not the owner per se, there is no way in hell I can afford a car like this at my age.

Time to put my head down, finish school, work hard and buy a car so I can come back proudly saying I bought it instead of being given it.

I know I'm digging up old news here, but I checked and the Flyers did not draft anyone by the name of Dom/Dominick or Robert in the last 15 years.

I suppose they could have been drafted by another team and traded to the Flyers--or been an undrafted free agent signing to the QMJHL/OHL/WHL.

If they weren't drafted, then their liklihood of "being on a TV near you soon" is pretty unlikely.

I'm probably the only one interested in this, but it smells a little funny--if only for the use of the term "recruit". Farm teams don't recruit. They draft and sign free agents. Colleges recruit.

I'm 45 and haven't lost my need for speed. Maybe when I turn 60, I'll slow down. But until then, I'll be driving an AMG...LOL

Same here, since 16. Although, you have a lot more experience than me.

But, I did get licensed to drive Super Comp dragsters when I was 17. I was planning on getting serious too. Family was going to fit the bill but then family kind of had another divorce, so it didn't pan out.

But, I think I ran 8.1 sec at 168 mph.

Wow. Faster than I have gone. I've never been out of the 9's on the track.

Don't worry about the edit.

It was called a Super Comp dragster. It looks like a mini-top fuel dragster.

It was N/A. It had a big ol' bored out Cadillac motor in it, like 500+ cubes. Don't quote me 100% on this, but it did have a big Holly Dominator carb on top. I don't know how many cfm, but maybe close to 1150. Does that sound reasonable? Just speculating here, because I don't remember the specifics.
