2010 C63
I will check SR Auto out a bit more before jumping in, thanks. The CLK550toC63 moniker was created when I was waitng from Feb to early August for the C63 2010 build and was lurking here. Loved the CLK550 (and my CLK500 before that) but ws time to move on. Got a RAV4 for the snow though in case this winter is like last year.

Sebring gets my humor. Great minds think alike.
I ended up getting the 19" Kleemann MS-11s that Z99 was selling. Got a good deal from him. Wheels and tires were "like new." Tires had 9/32" tread left out of 10/32". The 10" rears have 265s and I'll switch to 275s when I wear them out. Though they are 19s, they look small. WeeHyung87, from Vancouver, has my stockers.

if you have been modding cars a little bit longer you would have known a lot of crap SR did.
Basicly if you walk in their show room and demonstrate little knowledge in aftermarket stuff they will try to rip you off... big time.
Now I dont wanna get into details but maybe if we meet in person one day i can tell you more.
Also claiming 80Crank HP gain on just software tuning is bald claim and definitely exaggerating the facts a bit. We all know its more close to 60hp or so.

SR is essentially the Unique Autosports (TV show: Unique Whips) of Vancouver, that doesn't mean they necessarily do good work, it just means they have a lot of high profile clients that will pay whatever they ask without blinking an eye
Just mention you are from MBWORLD and they will work you out a good price!
Also, the powerchip is around 80 crank hp. When we dyno'd it on our last dyno day one of the C63's did about 60whp

60 to the wheel does not equal to 80 to the crank cause if thats true we are then talking about 33.33% drivetrain loss which is impossible, since according to that kinda of rate our car will only be putting down 300whp on the dyno.
anyways i am not here to start an arguement just telling the other guy to do some proper research before walking into SR. Don't want a fellow C63 owner getting a ****ty deal.

If you are looking for a chip tune, check out ADVANCE MOTORSPORT in coquitlam. They were the ones that held the dyno tune day for the powerchip group in collaboration with Jikjak who organized it!

I have been through SR's work, and they are really good, the only reason why I switched to Advance was because of a friend and their quality of work is amazing as well. But when I was at SR their work and service was really great and they have helped me do what I wanted. With that reason, I didnt mind at all paying the extra money they charge.
Also If you get the tune you will know what I mean, They are actually expecting 80HP for the tune, many people who has dealt with powerchip has that... and 60WHP is an amazing gain.
Guys, don't forget that what JikJak arranged for everyone was a custom dyno tune, and not an off-the-shelf ECU upgrade. So while an increase of 80 crank hp was entirely possible given the scope of what was done by the Powerchip people when they were in town recently, it's unlikely that you'd get quite that much of an increase by just flashing the ECU.
David, actually only 2 people went ahead with the Dyno Tune
Most people just got a tune and I think only one person did a before and after dyno to check out how much gain did they get.
The only Custom Dyno tune was the CLS55 and S55 who gained an insane amount of power

I trust facotry HP a lot more than aftermarket hp rating as well even though i am young.
This is mainly due to the fact that factories are a lot more conservative with their numbers. This is the reason why i think 80hp to the crank gain on a C63 with just software to claiming too much as we all know factory only squeez out 507hp out of the same motor. I mean if they can squeez extra 20hp than the factory with stock motor setup then maybe they should go tune all the other 63 cars for AMG as well.
W.E though people are welcome to believe in what they want but personally experience tell me that aftermarket numbers have always been exeggerated a bit.
Also I have no doubt that the tune makes a huge difference, I mean anytune for that matter since the engine is made to put out that kind of power.
