I have driven both the C63 and the SLK55 on a track back to back, the C63 is definetely Much faster, you probably are still in the breaking period so you havent had the seat time yet, besides, the C63 is one of the loudest of all the AMG cars, the only one very slightly louder is the SL63, again, another car I had ample seat time on a track a few weeks back. Congrats, break her is properly, lots of patience required!

First, I hope your surgery goes well, my girl has been in the Hospital a week now with phantom pains. But..... You keep saying the brakes on the M are "substandard". Explain, technically, not just "Its the same brake system as on a RAV4". I would like to see technical specs. I know on my ML63, the brakes are "acceptable" but the truck is too heavy for the current "substandard brakes" on it. Should have been a bigger brembo style brake. I like how the "cross drilled" doesn't even go all the way through. Its more like a "cross dimpled".. haha.. Hope you feel better. Speedy recovery pal!
60K for my M3, down from 68k. .9 percent financing as well.

< This is old news. Its not that they "don't like" the V8, they found the get better gas mileage and HP out of the Twin Turbo 6. >
It may in fact be old news, but it's news to many of us...including everyone on the BMW CCA Forums. Just curious what/who is the "official source" of this change.
No "heresay", "word on the street is", or "four out of five dentists surveyed agree" that M3 will be changing from V8 to Turbo 6, or even...twin-turbo V8. Is there an "official source" available to reference? Thanks!

bmw would never go for a turbocharged engine. the essence and whole concept of an ///M engine is being a naturally aspirated engine. as long as its for the ///M badged engines we wont see any turbocharged ones at least for now.

Thanks for the reference. Just got done reading the Autoweek article. I knew they were working on a twin-turbo V8 for the "M" series X6 and X5. Had a salesman very recently hint at BMW changing the V8 in the M3 as well; Possibly a twin-turbo V8.
