It's been a few years since my last AMG (a C32), but I recall that on that car the smartkey stored settings for the seat, mirrors, steering wheel position and also climate control settings, radio stations, etc. Do the C63s still have this functionality?

No.. the information is somewhat saved on the car itself. Seating information and you only have the choice of 10 different Radio channels.
