This forum already has more stickies than the floor of a cheap strip club. They really don't need any more.

I think the mentality is worse on this forum than the grammar.

Does that matter? Skip the threads you don't like or skip the forum.

Not really, I just think grammar is less important in a forum chat room.

then and than

Than, a conjunction, is used to compare things.
Then, an adverb, is used with descriptions of time.

I just don't understand how people can mix those things up. Then vs. Than. They're vs. Their vs. There. It's impossible to mix them up. What are they teaching kids in school these days???

I think I can understand where the guys who've been complaining about the quality of postings are coming from. While I'm not going to make a big stink about the poor grammar (or spelling), it's bewildering to think how it can be as bad as it is!

I haven't been to this C63 forum in a while. I didn't realize it was invaded with prepubesent retards. What is it about the C63 that attracks the young kids? Is it the price point? Maybe its the fact that it is the M3's competition?
I know alot of young kids really like the M3.

The C-Class Forums never cease to amaze or amuse.

Seriously, if you go to any of the M-B model sub forums you see a certain form of interaction, that is slightly common with one another.... Then you dare step foot in a C-Class section....

Maybe it's naturally another one of the reasons that turns me off to a C-Class, but regardless, if I did own one, I would feel damn pissed at "my" model bretheren.

Nobody here is as much of a spelltard as XtinaNoel, which to me sounds like a Staten Island stripper name more than anything regardless. Hell, I'm not even sure if it's a guy or a girl at this point. Anyone who uses a "ii" in the place of a proper "I" to refer to one's self should be put down.

It's not just "Xtina"'s spelling but the incorrigible nothingness that hobbles forth from his/her/it's mind in the form of posts. Running away from the cops? Getting your car flooded because you thought it was a sharp idea to ford a friggin river during a flashflood? What is this the goddamn Oregon Trail? Well guess what Xtina, your family has died of dysentery.

And GBlansten, sack up and get some new material. Your arms are too short to slapbox with OT.

If you folks think it's bad now, wait till the second-hand purchasers start turning up in a year or two.

I don't think the threadjacking is going to be a cure-all. The people who give a damn about the forum are just going to have to invest more time in starting the kind of threads they like to see.

Oh, and just to stay on topic, there is no "a" in the word "definitely". Why does everyone try to spell it as "definately"??

I think Myspace and text messages are to blame for many of these transgressions against the English language. Nowadays the teenage crew thinks it's somehow cute to butcher the language in their little "in-crowd" dialect. Disgusting, I want to moonlight at a suicide hotline when these douchetools realize that the world is different past your parents' credit card.

It's almost too easy to blame the Internet and the realm of the cellular phone. There must be truckloads of people who maintain normal standards of precision in their writing even though the means of delivery has changed.

I mean, before there was the computer, how the heck did we write letters to one another? Spellcheck hadn't even been invented! I recall seeing the old typing pools where literally hundreds of people, admittedly mostly female, would produce the countless pieces of documents that any good-sized organization would produce on any given day. They got on fine without Spellcheck, T9 Predictive Text Input, or Suretype.

And that's just spelling. Let's not even get into grammar, or worse, some of the thinking that goes on behind some postings and threads here. You just have to relax, let out the occasional Egad! when you see some of the more ridiculous goings on here and try not to react. Your blood pressure will thank you for it.

Damn, am I becoming one of you??
