For those of you with Sahara Beige interior

Is it that difficult to keep clean? it will be my daily driver and I have a 2 year old, but she won't be riding in it that often. But she is messy!!

My decision is between a black/sahara beige/carbon fiber or arctic white/black/aluminum trim.

2500 price difference between the two due to the CF trim.

1 3 yr old in a booster. I purchased a 3 x 3 ft piece of matching leather to put under the booster and protect the seat on both side. its the feet getting in and out as well as kicking the back of the seat in front of him thats causes the most clean up. Not too big a deal overall.

even if it does get dirty, it is worth it... that looks is freaken sweeeeet!

and in my opinion the aluminum trim looks cheap on this car.. go with the dark wood

Unfortunately me getting this car is looking bleak at a lease payment of close to 1250 which is crazy on this car..

I'm shopping for third party leasing companies trying to get a better interest rate.

looks great but it a PITA to keep clean. Get a good cleaner/conditioner and you should be fine...

Four months and 3000 miles and the interior is spotless. I'd get it again without hesitation. My wife occasionally rides in it but the hazmat suit that I make her wear prevents any damage.

Seriously though, no problems.

+1 You almost need to put clearbra on the seat backs if you have small kids!

On the plus side, MB has choosen black for the portions of the interior that get the most scuff marks, i.e., the lower portions of the doors and the door sills, etc. So that makes the decision a littler easier than in the past.

The beige and grey interiors are a refreshing change and as long as you can tend to the seating surfaces themselves, you should be ok. Also when you child in the car, toss a nice towel (MB beach towls are great for this) on the seat and enjoy the beige!

I have the SB interior (love it), with 2 kids (3.5 and 1.5). I put down some cheap, white bath towels that I bought from Target under their (god forbid I say they're) car seats. Seems to work fine. I also purchased the TST package from my dealer that protects the leather not just in the event of stains, but also in the event of punctures (like from a pen, or another object that a small child might be able to stab into my beautiful leather--or their eyes). It's not cheap, but for me, worth the "insurance payment".

Mine is my daily driver as well... and I drive around with my girl friend, friends, family.. I wish those jeans would not bleed so much! The weather is too damn cold to do any conditioning or cleaning too, so I have just decided not to look at the seats and arm rests until the weather gets a bit better.

Wife's C350 Saks Fifth Ave Edition with SB loves the color BUT even with the kids gone I have to hit it with Lexol at least every two weeks and this is after a year of ownership. The leather still looks new but the the stitching will show dicoloration. Why not check out some used MB's with SB and see how it looks after a year.
I wouldn't get it if I kids.

I totally agree. My 5 yr old son rides in the back every morning, and the kicking is the big issue. Easy enuff to clean up from the back of the seat, which is plastic.

As far as the leather, my mantra to him is: "No feet on the seat."

has anyone actually seen these seatbacks on a car? this is from the MBCanada configurator...i want beige, but beige seatbacks would be a deal breaker for me..

i know a lot of times for the configurator its essentially a p-shop'd picture so it could be totally inaccurate..(or are canadian c63's getting these?)

I have had my car with sierra beige for about 4 months and the drivers seat is showing some blue discoloration most likely from denim jeans when getting in and out of the vehicle.

Personaly I would go with the Sahara Beige. You just need to make an effort to keep it clean. Buy some produts that you will always leave in the car. That way when somthing happens you can fix it right away. If you dont like cleaning your car then its not the color for you.

Sorry but I think it looks terrible. Difficult to keep clean. Get black.

Thank you for all the valuable input. I think I've decided on black with the carbon fiber trim. My local dealer has a sahara beige with the CF trim, so I'll have to find another one.

I had one dealer tell me that you cannot get the carbon fiber trim any longer? Any truth to this?

clean condition regularly and it should not be a problem. Make sure that you use a high quality cleaner.

Has anyone purchased the protector product from MB??? They are souposed to seal the seats and guarantee against stains, cracking, etc... I think it was like $1000 at time of purchase/lease...

I have Beige Int and it is tough to keep clean but I got some guy to clean my car the other day and it looked just like new. I say as long as you clean it once in a while there should be no problem.

I did. I paid $650 for the paint, seats & carpeting. The seat warranty covers cracks, stains, even punctures. Granted, I've not filed a claim (yet) and so I don't have 1st hand experience as to how difficult it is to have a claim satisfied.

Anyone file a claim for the TST package?

is this a fair representation of the sahara beige? Im placing my order Saturday and am leaning towards the black on sahara -

is it this light or is it darker in person?
