Differences between 2008 and 2009 C63

Hello, I want to buy a used low mileage C63 (might as well let someone else take the intial depreciation) I can obviously get the 2008 cheaper but I don't want to miss out on any improvements made for 2009 just to save a couple of bucks, does anyone know the differences between the two (if there even is) please let me know what you know..............

There is no difference in power or brakes/suspension etc, the only difference you will find is the way they packaged some options differently.

I believe the 2009 C63s no longer have folding mirrors. Also, '09 models can be built with the full 030 sport package. '08 models were did not include all the 030 options.

My salesperson said that it looks like some changes where made to the Navi
system but I did not hear specifics on what those could be and I have not
seen a MY 2008's Navi to compare...

so basically only the US cars lose the folding mirrors and they still dont have the keyless go option? that kinda sucks.
i also dont like how they do not allow u to order the panoramic roof for the amg model.

Panoramic roofs are heavy, and most often car makers opt out of the idea, due to its negative implications on their high end sports cars.. i.e. challenging the centre of gravity.

Our C63s are already quite heavy, and any weight that could have been saved without having to sacrifice functionality and looks, I believe has been done to this vehicle.

I thought that the LSD was the main difference between 08 & 09. I have a fully loaded 08 and was told the LSD didn't come with it.......

i understand the weight savings but it would have been nice to have the pano roof as an option. the c63 isnt a full blown track car and the extra weight wont hurt it much. i think its got enough torque to move that extra weight and its also available on the higher end AMG cars.

in order to get the LSD, u have to get the performance package.

In Canada, MY 2009 comes now with parktronic as part of the premium package.

Most likely he's referring to the backup cam and possible iPod functionality.

Looking for a new toy.
Stefario, Parktronic is being introduced with 2009 build dates only, and was not available on earlier 2009 models.

It is now factory installed as part of the Premium package, I'm not sure if it's also available as a dealer installed item.

Yes, they juggled the packages some. CF trim is now separate and not part of the PP, so that price has gone down. Premium now includes Partronic and the Media package, and has increased in price slightly. I just wish they had offered the LSD as a standalone choice.

But you can't order the CF trim as a stand alone item. You have to order the PP first, and if you so choose, you can then add the CF trim. (Only applicable for Canadian market C63s.)
