Blacked out Grill
I've been thinking about painting the front grill including the trim with a flat or matte black finish. Below is stock and a mock-up done with tape. Any thoughts?

The wheels were painted by our "adopted" body shop ( 2 kids 4 wrecks ) for $500. I would like the AMG logos painted red as well but I don't have that kind of talent.

The grill looks really good. How many pieces would need to be removed and painted? I'm thinking about doing this myself. Thanks.

Top and bottom trim, 4 horizontal slats and of course the pointy star emblem. I'll have a price by Monday morning and the work will be done ASAP with pics to follow.

I think it looks great; I usually don't go for the black grill but this looks appropriate. Can you imagine how amazing in red the letters "AMG" would look on your rims????

Finally did it along with smoking the head lights, tail lights and side markers. Car recieved a nice dent in the door by a gracious Wally Mart customer who drove out to the end of the parking lot so he could hop out and bless my car with his knee(on video but no tag #) So I had the work done while in the shop.

She's looking good. What bodyshop did the work for you?
Everything works..the blacked out grill, the smoked out lights and the tint. I'm normally not a fan of tint but it all comes together nice on your car.

Given the way my wheels turned out and the black/chrome look of the C63 emblems next to the front tires; I want to leave a few chrome pieces in the mix. However as soon as my tint/invisi-bra guy gets a pattern for the clear lights on the side mirrors they will be smoked to black.
