: My Matte Black C63
#78
I have a good investment opportunity coming up, and I need extra cash. But, I am happy to keep the car if it doesn't sell. I am enjoying it to the fullest.

Here is what I did to the car:
-Full vinyl wrap on the car
-Blacked out front grill
-Painted front reflectors
-Powdercoated the wheels.
-Painted the chrome window trim, and the chrome part on the trunk.
-Blacked out the tailights
-Painted all the badges
-Tinted windows
-Full vinyl wrap on the car
-Blacked out front grill
-Painted front reflectors
-Powdercoated the wheels.
-Painted the chrome window trim, and the chrome part on the trunk.
-Blacked out the tailights
-Painted all the badges
-Tinted windows
Full-car vinyl might be the "new car bra."

+1 ...SWEET!!! The matte looks awesome and flows with the C63's lines. Only matte cars I've seen in person was a black Gallardo convertible and a white one. The white looked OK but black is definitely the way to go.
Investment in the car is probably worth more than stocks will be by the end of the year, given that we've got a Prez who hands out pink slips to CEO's of private companies.

You're right, the Turbo owner graduated from GW. I graduated from AU though.
The wrap cost somewhere between $4000-$4500, depending where you live because of the travel cost of the installer. You wash the car with water and soap only, nothing special. The Vinyl does peel, you can DIY I think. The door jams are still white, since it was such a hassle to wrap them.
Let me know if you have any more questions.

Man, I didn't realize that it cost more than a custom paint job!
Damn and i thought I was gonna be able to get it done...

I think you would be able to do it for $1k less than what I paid. That's because they are located in LA and you would not have to pay travel expenses for the installer. Whereas I had to fly the guy all the way to DC. Good luck.

I work with Yerbol, he told me to check out your ride, Very nice!!! Do you work in DC? We should all get together. His CLS55 with carbon wheels is sweet too.
Do you know the guy with the white C63 in DC with the Carbon front lip and 19" 2 piece wheels? He parks in my garage downtown. Want to meet that guy, he has a sweet ride too.

yeah it happens, but the shop that installed the wrap should have explain that you just need a alcohol marker the color of the wrap, to fill in the chips, its a simple fix.
