Canadian MSRP
Are the Canadian dealers moving any on the MSRP? Mine came out to $82k with taxes, freight, PDI, Green tax, etc. Premium and performance package.
Will the dealer move any on the price? I will be putting down 42k on it.
Its the middle of winter here, -25C. Looks like these cars have been sitting here all winter so far. (The one I want is in production now, I will be putting a deposit down on the weekend.)
Also, its my first time trading in a vehicle. I have a 07 Escalade EXT fully loaded, extended warranty, brand new tires. Thing needs nothing. 39k Miles on it. How can i get best value for it? Any tricks? I talked to one dealership and they offered me 30k for it. I just paid $55,500 last may.. I'd like to get 40K. Any suggestions please.

Canada is a big country - what area are you referring to? Some provinces are hurting more in this economy than others and that affects how hungry respective dealers are. There is an option in your userprofile that allows you to indicate your locale.
Also you indicated you have a car on order? Dealers will also be less likely to dicker on a car you've special ordered as opposed to one that's already sitting in inventory.

FishtailnZ: Im in Edmonton, Alberta. None of the cars they have in stock have the performance package so those are out.

So that means your truck has 62,400kms on it, right? And that also means that is very high milage for an 07. Considering that, I would say that the offer for 30 is not far from reality. You might get a bit more, but I really dont think anywhere close to 40K.

Order from somewhere else, I am in ottawa and the dealer here is willing to eat some of the costs, about $2500-$3000 on the new car. It depends who you are dealing with, some dealers wont budge, then some are willing to deal in this economy. I for one got close to $3000 off the price.

Order from somewhere else, I am in ottawa and the dealer here is willing to eat some of the costs, about $2500-$3000 on the new car. It depends who you are dealing with, some dealers wont budge, then some are willing to deal in this economy. I for one got close to $3000 off the price.
The $3000 savings may become a wash after flying to Ontario, putting it on a train ($1000) and flying back home. Dealers here, if squeezed hard enough, will discount anywhere from $500-$1000.
Potential savings: $500-$1000

I was very close to ordering one from Star but my wife recently lost her job!
John was very accommodating and has basically left the door open for me if my luck changes. I think he was having a difficult time ordering a vehicle for me the way I wanted it and the ETA was difficult to confirm.
There might be one available locally in the spring. If things improve in the next few months I might put a deposit on it.

You think so? I would fig the Km's are too high for 40K. I would guess a good selling price should be around $37,500 for a private sale. But im not in your markets. Im in Van so good luck to the OP.

These trucks are cheaper in BC, but they might also be US trucks

When I spoke with them they had a black one with the performance package on order. It's a February build. I spoke to a salesman named Karim Virani. He still calls me once a week to see if I'm interested.

Too many people have black and I like the Palladium silver a bit better so I ordered that in. Have to wait till end of May tho
Im almost thinking of getting the black one just to have it earlier haha.

As of yesterday, there was one black on black PP/PP available for Canada. I think it was just being shipped here now.

The one I ordered would be a Feb build as well. These cars are getting snatched up quick. I was in there last week and there was a handful of them available. Came back yesterday and all were gone.
