Tires
I am having the rears replaced on my c63 (3800 miles). The dealer has a set of pirreli p-zeros that are not the mercedes spec. The MO tires aren't available unitl monday and I'd really like to get my car back. Any idea what the difference is between the two tires and if it makes a meaningful difference for non-track driving?

Might even want to consider going with a different tire altogether next time (when your fronts are ready to be replaced) because there are definitely more cost-effective alternatives out there.

Oh you'll be fine with the regular over-the-counter P Zero tire. The size is correct, but honestly, you should consider going to a wider rear tire, 265 or even 275. Both widths will fit on your stock wheels.

is there any rubbing issues with the wider tires?

I'm not currently running my summer tires. We're still in the thick of winter right now so my snow tires are on. When I had my snow tires mounted though, we threw on a set of 275s for fitment purposes and there was clearly no rubbing under normal loads. I have not tried it with 4 adults in the car, but I'd be surprised that the extra 10mm of rubber either side of the oem wheels would present a rubbing issue when under slightly heavier loads.
Once my snow tires come off, I'll be happy to give you more feedback on this.

There are different load rate numbers for the same size, brand. Our Merc's are heavy and have a higher number associated with them. I can't imagaine a dealership would step outside of the requirements by much.

I replaced the 'MO' p-zero's on my old SLK with exactly the same spec p-zero tyres, except for the fact they were not 'MO'. Had absolutely no problems with them.
