C63 Renntech program
Well after breaking in the car with 3,900 miles I just had RENNtech flash my ECU yesterday.
Results very impressive, before and after dyno runs. 80 degree weather.
Gains of 60RWHP & 32RWTQ over the stock tune.
Driving impressions, wow what an improvement at speed over stock. 60-120 is a big improvment.
I can highly recommend the Renntech tune on your C63.
Have fun, this car is a blast!

What ECU tune did you get, or is there only one level? Did they tune the Trans also or just the engine? Any other Renntech upgrades to go with it? Cost?
Sounds like fun.

Only a ECU tune, there was an option to change programs back to stock etc but since this is a street car running on pump gas I did not see a need to do anything else. Also I knew that I would NEVER put it back to stock tune after feeling this increase.
I cannot comment on the tranny changes but the shifting is perfect.
Once the airbox is produced I may go with that as well. This is such a dramatic increase over stock that I cannot see getting another 10-20RWHP being something I could feel much. I may change my mind...

From my Dyno results I would say I got tune #2.
The price on the list posted earlier looks accurate, I also had the dyno time before and after. Pulling the ECU is easy, I would say pretty do-it yourself. Then Fed-Ex it to the them to flash and send back. I am sure they have a format for this. The price was more than others I had seen (for example Kleeman) but Renntech's reputation is solid and the fact he is local made a difference to me as well. I would imagine they have no problem putting it back to stock when you get rid of the car. Talk to them for further pricing.
I would rather not post the Dyno run since I did not ask Harmut if he would mind. I do have a copy.
The dyno is a Dynojet, so the results are repeatable and consistant from my experience. It was 80 degrees, so I would imagine it would pull stronger at 50 degrees.
Hope this helps. I am just a happy customer.
PS. I have the Active Aautowerke TK Turbo M3 for sale and it dyno's with race gas on a Dynojet 709RWHP! pump gas about 460RWHP.... but my C63 rocks with the instant torque.

Thanks for your feedback. 60 +mph, freeway speeds, is where I think the car could use more power too. Glad you are liking it. I'm looking forward to more impressions as you put more miles on it.

I would imagine Hp adjusts downward as you go higher on our non-forced induction cars.
I don't have a way to accuratly measure the 60-120(130) times so I would not attempt it. Suffice to say the car hits WAY harder now than it did. Most of my driving is around town, not full throttle, There is also an improvement squirting around at low speeds.
The whole process of dyno and programming took about 2 hours so I would say the ECU would be a fast turn around back into your mailbox.

catesbym, I am also in FTL and trying to decide b/n tunes rite now. If u ever want to get together and run the cars side-by-side to show the real world performance gains from Renntech, let me know. I would be happy to do it...and get a ride in ur car for a comparo.
I'm 100% stock btw.

Would like to hear how the comparison goes if you two do it. Vids please!
I have the Renntech stage 2 flash and the CF airbox from MHP and my car pulls really hard. I have a friend with a vbox that I'm going to borrow and get some 60 - 130 times. I'll post those up when I get them. I'm also going to be doing some videos of runs against an E60 M5 for comparison purposes.

Can you at least post what was your base dyno numbers and what it became after the tune? This should be very good advertising for RennTech, as they've posted dynos on here before.... I don't know why they wouldn't want to show their gains

If you're seeing great gains from the flash, why wouldn't Renntech want the c63 community to know?
