Some outdoor pics
Spent a few hours detailing the car, got a 1000kms on it in 2 weeks and cant wait to get it to 1500kms to really let it lose. Have snuck in a few downshifts in M mode just to scare pedestrians with the throttle blipping, loving it! Cant wait to hear the exhaust screaming at the redline, guess that will have to wait to next weekend. My only complaint is that i think the size of the fuel tank is woefully inadequate. I am lucky to get 200kms / tank around town from the puny 66 litres capacity. My ML is 95 litres so the difference for me is stark. Any way here are some pics:

I too was surprised that, with the heavy town traffic, I'm getting about 209km from approx 60 liters of fuel. It's not so much the consumption but the size of the tank, as you so rightly pointed out. It needs to be at least 90-95 litres so that we can get a range of 300km on one tankful.
For the first time today I heard a bit of the exhaust popping sound, by accident. I was driving in C then decided to overtake some slow moving vehicles. I guess I pushed the accelerator harder than I should have, but not kickdown. Next thing I know the gearbox shift down a couple of gears and I was off like a bolt of lightening. Then some car way ahead looked like they wanted to join the road so I braked harder than I should have and I briefly saw the revs falling from around 6,000 as I heard the 'popping' at the back. It sounded fantastic!!! 1500km+ can't come soon enough.
One weird thing to watch out for is when you switch cars. They all feel much slower and their brakes seem to be inadequate. So when you switch back to your C63, you can end up doing what I just did today.

yeah its summer alright, we have been having temps in the 35-40degree range which is over 100 deg farhenheit, farking hot! Still cruise round though with sunroof open and windows down to hear the sonorous note of that velvety V8, boom!
