HRE M49s for C63 - Photos
I was looking for a stock look in a set of 19in wheels. Originally, I was going to buy the euro 19s from my local MB dealership, but the rep in the parts department had a different concept of customer service than I
FR - 19X8.5 & 245/35-19 Nitto INVO
RR - 19X9.5 & 275/30-19 Nitto INVO <I actually think the rears are 19X9>
I decided on the M49s because they were the closest to the stock look and the two toned USA wheels have always bugged me.
It is hard to judge the stock weight. The stock fronts on the same scales were FR - 50.6# and RR - 44.8# (they were fried). I didn't think you could burn 6# of tread off a tire BTW.
The HRE's are pushed out and it looks more aggressive. Additionally there is more clearance between the brake and the wheel. No rubbing issues in limited driving.
Do the wheels look too pushed to the corners?
I thought the rears would be more concave than they are, but I actually like the look that they're not.
Oh, and excuse the fact that the car is nasty. Too much rain here.
Regards,
Ron

M49s
Another angle. I definitely like the back, will look into the camber. I need to have the car aligned now anyway.

Nice wheel choice. I was looking at the exact same wheel last summer, however at that time they were only available for Porsche and BMW, and they were just getting ready to release them for MB. If it were me however, I would have gone with a gunmetal finish to go with the Iridium Silver. I think that would give it a little more aggressive look.
IMO, there are not too many aftermarket wheels on par with the stock 19" ones, but these are one of them. For whatever reason, I think the C63 is a difficult car to pick wheels for.
