will the replacement HID bulbs work with the C63 system without changing any wiring? how about with the foglights?

I have HID foglights from xentec (something like that) 6000K...the bulb was too long to fit (h11) so we switched it with h7 to fit, and then encountered another problem where we realized there's an adapter attached to the oem foglights. So the body shop asked for my approval to bypass the adapter so they could get the wiring to fit the foglight....so obviously yes...and after 3 hrs it finally fit.
It was a hassle with that adapter there, but in the end it fit.
Dunno if anyone had the same problem as I did but that's pretty much what happened.

I just went to ebay and got 6000K replacement bulbs. Just look around for a seller with good pricing and a high rating. 6000K looks great, bright with just a hint of blue.

Personally I think 8000k looks great. And if the bulbs dont work you can always get the error cancelers.

Not for my fog light....some adjustments (customization) had to be made but in the end it looked great....
I'll post up pictures later when I get a chance

Factory ones is around 4500k which is still a little bit yellowish, but with the 6000k upgrade it pure white and look a lot better and brighter. My globes is coming soon and I will post some pictures.

I have a 2009 C63 with premium/nav package.

I am trying to do the same. If you have premium package then your low beam head light is already HID at around 4300 Calvin it is producing the most amout of light. It still has a little yellowish tint. If you want you can buy D1S bulbls that are 5000K or 6000K to get a bright white light with a little bit of blue in it. The higher the temperature the more bluer and purplish color you get but the amout of light produced goes down. So my suggestion get 5000K. These should plug straight in - no mod needed.

As for the fog lights I have ordered this slim ballast kit.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...56738&viewitem=
I ordered H11's at 5000K. The manual and the online sylvania car bulb cross ref suggested that I need H11's but when I took the bulbs out of the car they were H7's. So I sent the H11's back and am waiting for the H7's. The seller says I do not need the error cancel harness for the fog lights. I only fear that the auto dimming feature might cause some trouble. I also need to figure out how to take the bumper off. It will be very tough finding room to install the ballasts otherwise. Stay tuned I will take on this proj next saturday hopefully.

I always upgrade the head lights and fog lights of my cars m self. I did the same for my M3 seca blue which is now is replaced with a C63....
