New here....
I am about to become a C63 owner within the next month, I love this car! I never had a MB before, always BMW but its time for a change! Just had a few quick questions....
1) $66,500 was the best price I received fully loaded, what do you think?
2) Is there a break in period as I had on my previous M3's?
3) Am I really going to miss my manual tranny with this beast?
Any other insight would be great! Thanks so much!

2. Do a search on here because there are some great threads on this topic that you may find helpful.
3. I had manual trans cars for the twelve years leading up to the C63. I don't miss them. I drive mostly city though.
Just my 2 cents.
Welcome.

i see youre in NYC so im not sure youll get as good a deal had you been from a more low volume area...I work in NYC but purchased mine in NJ, MSRP 66,335 and paid 64k even for an ordered car. Sounds like you got a nice deal if it had perf package as well.
i believe there is a 1000 mile break in period similar to the e46 m3 of 1200 miles...no revving over 4500 rpm and no constant load

Thanks so much! I was searching the forum for some answers, but I couldn't figure out if I can search just under the C63 threads? Thanks again for your insight! Anyone think waiting on a 2010 is worth it? How long does MB keep there cars before changing? I was told 6yrs....

IF they add MCT, i would not purchase it in its first year of production in the C63 anyhow for fear of problems
the only thing that would infuriate them adding it two tone interior or a red interior -
dont forget you wont get as good a deal on a new 2010, plus factor in a hike in MSRP -

These cars are very close. The C63 has more torque across the band. M3 and C63 are close on speed though despite that. M3 will handle a bit more crisply but a track is where you'd notice it more. Price isn't too disparate. For me it just came down to aesthetics. I liked the look of the C63 more and the exhaust note really sold me. They are both great cars.

Who told you that...the BMW dealer? The phenominal 2008 finance & lease rates from BMWFS for 2008 models crushed the M3 resale value. 2009's have very good rates as well. In theory, the better the finance rate for new models, the lower the resale value.
M3's and C63's both have horrific resale values. Expect 15-20% depreciation after drving it off the lot. Don't believe me...look @ the lease residuals computed by MBFS and BMWFS on these cars (which is a decent proxy of their future market value). Also do a search on autotrader to find recent used prices. Better yet, have a buddy lookup what these cars are going for at wholesale.

Hey Taylor the way you write your reponses make me laugh. I like your style and for some reason your convincing me to order the car tomorrow when I stop by the dealer. Going to see a new dealer, see if he can beat 66,500 fully loaded with AMG PP.
