Check Oil level!

Yes I am having the same warning message, I have 3,900 mi. I took it in for service and told them I've been getting this message and to check the oil, and I still get the warning message from time to time.

Recommended to check the oil level w/ dipstick? I've been used to BMW where the oil level is electronic. I've checked my C63's oil level b4, but not sure if this is necessary assuming the low oil message is sensitive, reliable and provides ample warning. Thoughts?

There have good threads about this that you might want to view. I mean that in a friendly way not a snide way. I got the notice at 3K miles.

I think the problem that esport and I are having is that our oil level is fine, yet we are still getting the "Check oil level at next refueling" message. I received the message the day after I picked up my car from service, and it was going off before that as well. I'll just have them look at it again more closely the next time I go in for service.

I've been getting it the past few days. Gonna top it off today. I recall there being a change in the oil viscosity Merc recommends for the engine. I had to replace my 08 manual (the original disappeared when I got the car back from a paint shop, claimed they never saw it on the front seat...yeah right) Ordered one from the dealer but it was an updated version and it says to check the Mercedes AMG website for recommended oil. Can anyone shed any light? I'm pretty 0W-40 is what other posts said.

Oil was definitely needed. My car was on a level surface and the oil level read at minimum. Checked it a couple of times. Manual says there is 1.6 liters difference between min and max so I added that amount. Read right at max after that. No check oil message return so far.

These 63 engines like to burn oil. If you look across the platforms for the 63's they all have this issue.
What i do is when that warning pops up I will put in a half a quart of oil and thats it. Warning goes away for a few thousand miles and then when it comes back and have to put a little more oil in or I will have a complete change done.

Simple, check the dipstick. If it reads low add oil. Done.
These engines drink alot of oil so dont be worried if it seems to "soon". I had to add a quart at 25XX miles. No sweat.

The M5 was the worst. had to add oil every 1500 miles. These high power/high revving engines suck oil like nothing else, no sweat. Just remeber to get a couple quarts ahead of time and even keep (an unopened one) in the trunk to save yourself some trips to the store.
