Neutral, rev to fuel cut, shift to D

Or put the car in R, get up to around 20mph going backward, then immediately change to D. Guaranteed results.

Power brake it! Slightly hold the brake with your left foot while gassing it with your right foot. Takes a little practice.

You need to have ESP in 'Sport' or 'Off'
and it also helps to have transmission in 'Sport' or 'Manual'

Take it easy though, especially if you still have your stock tires. If you haven't seen the trend on this forum, the stock tires(rear) are lasting as low as 600 miles to an average of around 4000 miles. Mine lasted 2800 and I think about half of that was due to a single burnout (it was a fookin awesome one though - about 20 seconds and laid a scratch like 25 yards long!). So, depending on choice of replacement tires, each burnout can cost around $200

Easy ! Listen to me 100% Amazing results FOR SURE

Hold down your ESP button
for a couple secs until it says ESP OFF on your dash

and then

Put your left foot down on the breaks all the way down

Now put your right foot all the way down on the gas

There it should work

If you want to make the smoke show a little nicer

while moving , and leaving a big skidddd mark

you let lose of your breaks slowly and you will start to move ,
and you can move left or right with steering wheel

have fun

Same thing with donuts

steer your steering wheel all the way to one side

Have fun!!!

becareful

A burn out? It's a performance road car not a hooptie. Whatever. Turn off the traction control, switch to manual and stomp it.

Hey who knows, maybe he plans to run at the strip. When I ran at the strip I was forced to drive through the water box. I wanted to do a really light burnout just to dry em up. Left it in ESP Sport though and once the tires started spinning power was cut.

if you keep it in manual 1st gear, wouldn't stomping on it just take it to redline while you burn out and it'll just keep bouncing there

but putting it in S mode would change gears when it gets to redline into 2 and wouldn't that stop the burn out for a bit?

The above answers are good but don't do it more than once or 2wice. If you do it too often its not good for the car at all, especially a Mercedes. Please Drive Safely!

If you do a stationary burnout too often, be prepared to change rear tires and brake pads and rotor very soon

Thank you for the good laugh. How much we've grown in the past 6 months!

Next thing you'll do is tell people not to race Hayabusas!

The car has enough torque to keep the wheels spinning even in 2nd. If you guys are seriously considering burnouts, you should invest in a line lock that will prevent the rear brakes from engaging when doing a burn out to prevent the rapid brake wear and potentially warping of rear rotors from the heat generated. Also makes doing a burnout a lot easier because you're not braking the rear wheels.

You'll probably win even in C mode.
